If you’re looking for inspiration using the Textured Notes bundle from Stampin’ Up!, you’re in the right place! Today, I’m sharing six simple card ideas that are perfect for beginners or anyone wanting to create beautiful backgrounds with a variety of stamp images. This bundle is full of textured details, versatile sentiments, and artistic touches that make it easy to create simple yet elegant cards.
Quick Collage
The Textured Notes bundle brings together a distressed-meets-artsy vibe that works with all kinds of styles—modern, vintage, soft, or bold. Simply layer several stamped images together in the background using the stamp-off technique to create a quick and beautiful collage.
The first card features the layered stamping on a 2-3/8 x 3-7/8″ piece of the linen style paper from the Woven Textures Designer Series Paper (DSP) pack. Use Crumb cake and Mossy Meadow ink to achieve the layering look. Die cut the 2-3/4 x 4-1/4″ frame from a piece of Pecan Pie using the Textured Notes dies. Add a 4-1/4 x 3″ piece of green patterned paper in the background. Embellish as desired.

The second card features the layering of stamp images using Gray Granite ink and the stamp off technique. Stamp the images on a 2-1/2 x 4″ piece of the linen style paper. Add a 1-1/4 x 4-3/4″ piece of DSP in the background. You can also stamp images in the background directly on the card base. Stamp the large leaf image on a scrap piece of white cardstock using Misty Moonlight ink. Cut out the image with a scissors and adhere to the card front.
Tone on Tone or Pops of Color
The next couple of card ideas feature the stamp layering, with the Textured Notes, in two different styles. The first card features the Tone-on-Tone style. using Gray Granite ink and the stamp off technique. Cut a 1-1/2 x 5-1/4″ piece of DSP as adhere it to the left side of the card front. Next, cut and emboss a 3-1/4 x 5-1/4″ piece of white cardstock. Tear the left side of this cardstock piece and adhere to the card front so it overlaps the DSP. Cut a 3-3/4 x 3″ piece of the linen style paper. Stamp a variety of different images on this piece. You can even add in some images from the Elements of Text stamp set. Add the large leaf focal point and a greeting.

The second card idea features two different color inks: Gray Granite and Pool Party. The stamp layering concept is the same as the first card, but this time use two colors instead of one. The embossed white cardstock layer is 4 x 5-1/4″. The Pool Party paper layer is 3 x 4″ when its torn. The linen style paper also measures 3 x 4″ when torn.
Neutral Textured Notes
The last couple of card ideas features the Textured Notes images in a neutral style. This particular style creates a more rustic look for the cards. These would make great masculine birthday cards, just change out the greeting to reflect the occasion.
The first card showcases the layering of the textured notes images using Pecan Pie ink. Stamp the images on a 2-1/2 x 5″ piece of the linen style paper. Tear the top and bottom of this piece before adhering to the 3-1/2 x 4″ piece of DSP in the background.

The last card idea features a great way to use up scrap paper! I had a few scrap pieces of the Woven Textures DSP that I could use for this layout. Two of the pieces are cut to 1-1/2 x 3-1/4″. The middle piece is 1-1/4 x 3-1/4″. The scrap pieces are adhered to a 4-3/4 x 3-1/2″ piece of white cardstock.
