The holidays are fast approaching, so today I have 6 holiday card ideas to share which feature the Stampin’ Up! Banner Year Bundle! Yes, you can create Halloween, Autumn and Christmas cards all with one stamp set! The Banner Year stamp set comes with a favorite of images that can be used to create cards for many different holidays! Not only will you be able to create 6 different cards, you will be able to do so by using only two card layouts. Yes, we will be using the same two card layouts to create cards for each of the three holidays.
Halloween Cards
Let’s talk about the Stampin’ Up! Banner Year Halloween cards first! If you need a few last minute card ideas, these are perfect because they are quick and simple to create! The first card features the creation of a focal point using stamp images. Randomly stamp a few Halloween images on a piece of white cardstock. Cut a piece of colored cardstock to serve as a matte for the stamp images and then adhere to the card front. Add a banner across the images with a little Halloween greeting! That’s it! Easy peasy! You can get all of the measurements for these cards by downloading the printable tutorial below.
The second card idea features the use of the banners to create a fun background for the card. Simply cut five pieces of cardstock at 1 x 5 inches. There are two different banner shapes on the punch that you can use on the ends of the cardstock. I recommend cutting the ends of the cardstock to create the banners before stamping on them. Once they are stamped, simply adhere them in a staggered fashion across the card front. This is such a fun a simple design which might look familiar to you. This was one of the nine different designs I used it to create some Halloween cards with the Magic In The Night suite. You can check them out HERE.
Autumn Cards
The next set of cards, featuring the Stampin’ Up! Banner Year bundle, are a colorful Autumn theme. The card layouts are very similar to the Halloween cards with just a few modifications in the size of the banners I am using. Of course the colors and stamp images are different since we are creating cards for a different holiday. The cards feature some of my favorite autumn colors: Pumpkin Pie, Crumb Cake, Crushed Curry and Old Olive!
You might notice that the second card features slightly wider (1 inch) banners to create the background. Since the banners are wider, I only need 4 instead of 5 to create the background. This time I decided to change up the card a bit by using different colors of cardstock as well as different images on each banner. Although this gives the card a slightly different look, the concept for creating the design is the same as the Halloween card.
Christmas Cards
The last two holiday card ideas, featuring the Stampin’ Up! Banner Year bundle, are a Christmas theme. The card layouts are exactly the same as the previous cards I shared. Simply change out the colors and stamp images to a Christmas theme. Can see how easy it is to re-use your card layouts?
All of these cards were created with the Stampin’ Up! Banner Year Bundle. Just ONE stamp set and ONE punch! For a complete list of all of the supplies and the step-by-step instructions for creating these cards, feel free to download the printable tutorial.
