How to Create a Paper Gift Bag
First let’s talk about how to prep your supplies for creating the paper gift bag. Start by choosing two different patterned papers. You can use any supplies you have on hand. Next, choose a piece of cardstock which coordinates with the colors in the patterned paper.
Cut a piece of cardstock measuring 5-1/2 x 6-1/4 inches. Score the 6-1/4 inch side at 4-1/4 inches. This will create a 2-inch flap. Next, cut a 5-1/2 x 4-1/4 inch piece of the same color cardstock.
Decorate the 2-inch flap of the cardstock with a 1-3/4 x 5-1/4 inch piece of patterned paper. Choose a different piece of patterned paper and cut two pieces at 5-1/4 x 4 inches. These pieces will be used to decorate the front and back of the gift bag holder. Finally, cut a brown paper bag down to 4-1/4 inches. Grab some coordinating ribbon, a little piece of velcro, and watch the video to see the assembly of the gift bag in action!
