Today I have 4 different ways you can use very detailed stamp images to create beautiful cards. And the best part is, there is NO coloring involved! The cards feature the In the Country stamp set from Stampin’ Up! However, keep in mind that you can use any detailed stamp image you have on hand to create these cards.
Monochromatic Card Ideas
First let’s talk about some monochromatic card ideas! You can easily use the In the Country stamp with just one color. Pick your favorite color or use a neutral color like these Gray Granite cards. I chose gray simply because it coordinates with the Delicate Details designer series paper that I am using. I love the look of monochromatic cards. They are very elegant and a great way to use a detailed stamp image without having to color it.

The card layouts are identical. The only difference between these two cards is the focal point. The first card features the large image stamped on a white die cut shape. The second card features the large image stamped on a Gray Granite die cut shape. Both are monochromatic cards, just a different style. I prefer the white die cut shape. How about you?
In the Country with Color
The next two card ideas are a great way to add color to the In the Country stamp image without actually coloring it! The first card features the large, detailed image stamped on a piece of the Delicate Details Designer Series Paper. This particular paper has a lot of fun patterns with multiple colors. It makes it so easy to add color to the image. Simply stamp the image on the DSP using Gray Granite ink. Cut the image out with your favorite die cut shape and adhere to the card front.

The last card idea features a bit of ink blending to create a colorful background. Use a blending brush or sponge to add a variety of different ink colors to a piece of white cardstock. You can add ink to an entire piece of white cardstock or do a bit of masking to add it only to a specific die cut shape. I recommend watching the video to see how to concentrate your ink blending to a specific area.

Sorry, I forgot to fill in my name for the above comment.
Lynn, I have been receiving your emails for a long time and I love your cards. Since about the beginning of the year, a lot of the emails come in without pictures. I really miss seeing them. Will you go back to showing them?
Hi Barbara. I get Lynn’s emails as well and the photos are always attached. Maybe you have accidently turned off images somehow. I don’t believe the issue is on Lynn’s site.
Hi Barbara, I think the issue is related to your email provider. When I receive an email with pictures, my email provider “hides” the pictures. I have to click on the message at the top of my email in order to display the pictures. I hope that helps
