Beautifully Happy Card Ideas

Today I have a variety of card ideas to share featuring the Beautifully Happy stamp set. This set involves two-step stamping so you can easily stamp the color on the image! Plus, the card layouts can really be used with any supplies you have on hand. The Beautifully Happy stamp set is just one of the many Sale-a-bration items you can choose for FREE with a qualifying purchase.

Beautifully Happy

First let’s talk about the Beautifully Happy stamp set. This particular set involves two-step stamping. Start by stamping the outline image using black ink. Add color to the image using the coordinating “fill in” stamp images. There are three different stamp images to use to add color to the flower. The images fit perfectly within the outline image. The cards feature Soft Sea Foam and Fresh Freesia ink. However, you can really use any ink colors to create your cards.

To create the first card, stamp the floral image in the center of a 2-3/4 x 5-1/2 inch piece of white cardstock. Add a 3-1/2 x 3-3/4 inch piece of patterned paper behind the white cardstock and then adhere to the card front. The second card idea features the same floral image. However, this time I cut out the image with a scissors to create the focal point. The background features the large floral image stamped using Soft Sea Foam ink. The stamping of the image creates a nice subtle background on the card.

Stitched Rectangle Dies

The next two card ideas feature the use of the stitched rectangle dies. I used both the positive and negative space created with the rectangle die. The first card showcases the use of the rectangle shape for the focal point. Stamp the floral image on the rectangular shape and “color” it in with the coordinating stamp images. Create the background for this card by stamping the image on the card front using Soft Sea Foam ink.

The second card features the use of the negative space which is left over from cutting out rectangle shape. It makes a great frame for this large floral image. Simply emboss the frame with your favorite embossing folder. Stamp the image on a 3-3/4 x 5 inch piece of white cardstock and adhere to the center of the card base. Add the frame over the top of the image using dimensionals.

Framed Florets

The last two card ideas feature the use of the Framed Floret Dies. The first card features the use of the oval dies to create a frame for the floral image. It’s a similar concept to the frame created with the rectangle dies. However, in this case, I stamped the image on a scrap piece of white cardstock and then cut it out with a scissors. Adhere the floral in the center of the frame using dimensionals.

The second card idea feature the same frame as the first card. However, I used the frame as a mask and sponged the purple and green colors to create the oval and hearts on the card. Masking is super fun and such an easy way to create a focal point. You can use the negative space from any shape to sponge a bit of color onto the cardstock.

  1. Where did you get that oval with the hearts around it, and how much was it? I love these cards
You already have my email address because I get the cards that you make all of the time and I don’t like to put any more of my information on the computer than I have to because I have been hacked too many times. I do enjoy the cards that you make though.
