I just can’t seem to stop playing with the Fresh Cut Flowers stamp set and the NEW Fresh Cut Stems Dies from Stampin’ Up! The dies are one of 6 different sets launched as part of the Perfect Partners Promo for the month of September. These dies coordinate with stamp sets we already have in the catalog! Last week I shared a few inside pop-up gatefold cards created with this bundle, you can view them HERE. Today, I have 4 additional card ideas to share with you featuring the Fresh Cut Flowers Bundle.
Fresh Cut Flowers
Let’s first talk about the Fresh Cut Flowers stamp set. The set actually only has 4 images. There is a large floral spray and a smaller floral spray, both of which I am featuring on the card ideas I have today. The first card showcases the large and smaller floral together. Start with a 3 x 4 inch piece of white cardstock. Stamp the large floral on the white cardstock using Gray Granite ink. Color in the floral with Daffodil Delight and Gray Granite stampin’ blends or your favorite coloring tools. Stamp the smaller floral on a scrap piece of white cardstock, color it in with stampin’ blends and cut out the image with the coordinating die. Adhere to the card as shown. The backdrop features a 2-1/2 x 5-1/2 inch piece of layering designs vellum and a 1 x 3-1/4 inch piece of patterned paper.

The second card idea features the large floral stamped in the background, directly on the card front. Add a 1 x 4-1/4 inch piece of patterned paper across the bottom along with a die cut piece of white cardstock. Be sure to watch the video to see how to create that die cut piece. The focal point showcases a variety of beautiful die cut shapes from the Fresh Cut Stems Dies.
Fresh Cut Stems Dies
Now that you know a little bit about the Fresh Cut Flowers stamp set, let’s focus on the NEW Fresh Cut Stems Dies. There are a variety of different dies in the set which complement the stamp images. The die cut shapes really accent the florals perfectly! The first card features lots of layering. The layers include the patterned paper, vellum and the die cut shapes. I love how just a few simple layers can add so much depth and dimension to a card.

The same is true with the second card idea. The background layers on this card consist of a 2 x 4 inch piece of vellum and a 1-1/4 x 4-1/2 inch piece of patterned paper. For the focal point, use the Fresh Cut Stems Dies to create a variety of layers and adhere them to a 2-1/2 inch circle shape.
