Double One Sheet Wonder Template

Looking for fun and easy ways to use up your patterned papers? Well today I have an easy Double One Sheet Wonder template to share which will help you do just that! You will be able to use up two 12 x 12 inch sheets of patterned paper to create 12 cards with no leftover scraps! It’s a great way to make a lot of pretty cards and you can use any patterned papers you have on hand.

One Sheet Wonder Templates

Let’s talk about how to cut up your patterned papers using the double one sheet wonder templates. As you can see, there are two templates which means you need to choose two 12 x 12 inch sheets of patterned paper. I recommend using a sheet of paper with a small pattern for Template #1. For Template #2, use a busy or bold piece of patterned paper.

Start by cutting the 12 x 12 inch piece of paper into two 5-1/4 x 12 inch strips. This will create two pieces of patterned paper measuring 5-1/4 x 12 inches and one piece of pattern paper at 1-1/2 x 12 inches. For Template #1, take the 5-1/4 inch strips and cut them down into 2 inch sections. You will end up with 12 pieces of patterned paper measuring 2 x 5-1/4 inches. For Template #2, take the 5-1/4 inch strips and cut them down into 1 inch sections. You will end up with 24 pieces of patterned paper measuring 1 x 5-1/4 inches. The final two strips of 1-1/2 x 12 inch pieces can be cut down into 4 inch strips and then cut in half to create 12 pieces measuring 3/4 x 4 inches.

Creating the Cards

Once you have the patterned paper cut and prepped, you are ready to assemble the cards. Starting from left to right, adhere a 1 x 5-1/4 inch piece, then a 2 x 5-1/4 inch piece and finish it off with another 1 x 5-1/4 inch piece. You are basically creating a panel card design.

Now that you have the background design created, you are ready to decorate the cards! You can choose any shape you want to create the focal point. I love to use doilies for this purpose. The doilies are already pre-cut and ready to stamp on which makes them quick and easy focal points.
