Cute Halloween Card Ideas

Today I have 6 different Cute Halloween card ideas to share featuring 2 card layouts. I love to show you a variety of ways to use your card layouts over and over again. The cool thing about these card layouts is they can be used with any stamp sets or supplies you currently have on hand. Besides the cute Halloween card ideas, I have a fun and simple technique to share for changing the color of your ribbon.

Cute Halloween Pumpkins

Let’s first talk about some of the features of these cards. The supplies come from the Cute Halloween Suite from Stampin’ Up! It’s a fun little stamp set and punch that you can use to cut out pumpkins, ghosts and cat shapes. The punch works well with the designer paper and the stamped images. Did you notice the stitched design in the card front? This design is easily created with the Stitched with Whimsy dies. The dies are not part of the Halloween product suite but they work fabulous with any products!

The last feature of these cards I want to talk about is the ribbon. Each of the cards showcase a bit of the 1/4″ Black & White Gingham Ribbon. You might have noticed that the ribbon on the pumpkin cards is actually black and orange. Wondering how I did that? Well I simply colored the ribbon with the dark Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blend. It’s a super simple way to add color to any ribbon. Give it a try!

Cute Halloween Cats

Now let’s talk about the actual card layouts. Although these cards feature the Cute Halloween cat image, you will use the exact same measurements to create the pumpkin or ghost cards as well. Simply change out the colors to coordinate with the images you are using. The first card showcases the second largest Stitched with Whimsy die cut into the center of the card front. Next, cut a 2-3/4 x 4 inch piece of designer paper and adhere it inside the stitched design. Cut a 1 x 2-3/4 inch piece a different patterned paper and adhere it across the center of the card as shown. Wrap a bit of ribbon around the card and tie into a bow. Then simply decorate as desired.

The second card layout features the largest Stitched with Whimsy die cut into the card front. Next, cut 4 different pieces of the Cute Halloween Designer Series Paper at 1-1/2 x 1-1/2 inches. Adhere each of the squares to the top of the card front as shown. Cut a 2 x 2 inch piece of white cardstock and cut the stitched design in the center. Use a scissors to trim around the outside of the stitched design to create the fancy square. Wrap a bit of ribbon together and adhere behind the square. Add a little cat image, as shown, and stamp a greeting on the bottom of the card.

Cute Halloween Ghosts

Ok these last couple of cards simply feature a different Cute Halloween image. The card layouts are exactly the same as the pumpkin and cat cards. The only difference is that I changed out the colors and embellished them with ghosts.

The supplies included Highland Heather cardstock and stampin’ blends. Yes, I used the Highland Heather Stampin’ Blends to color the Black & White Gingham ribbon so that it matched the card. So fun and super cute!
