Lumberjack Birthday

lumberjackHere’s a fun little stamp set that works well for making more masculine style cards.  The stamp set is called “Wood you be mine?” and, as you can tell, it was actually designed for Valentine’s Day. While that may have been the original intent, I have found if you change up the sentiment the images really work for any occasion. Let’s take a closer look at some of the fun features of this card.

Start out with a piece of whisper white cardstock stamped, in basic gray, with the Hardwood background image. Cut a piece of whisper white cardstock to 2 3/4 x 4 inches and a piece of rich razzleberry cardstock to 3 x 4 1/4 inches. Stamp the lumberjack image on the white cardstock using black memento ink.  I recommend using this ink so that you can color the lumberjack with blendabilities markers or other coloring tools that you may have on hand. However, there is a fun little overlay image in the stamp set that allows you to color in the lumberjacks shirt just by stamping over the shirt with rich razzleberry ink. Once you have colored in the image to your liking, embellish it with a bit of washi tape and a button. Enjoy!
