Let’s create some simple yet beautiful cards by letting our patterned paper do all the work! The Lovely Blossoms Designer Series Paper makes card making especially easy because many of the sheets include a variety of beautiful pre-printed floral images that can instantly become the focal point of your cards. So today I’m sharing six simple ways to use this paper in your card making.
Lovely Blossoms DSP
One of the best things about the Lovely Blossoms Designer Series Paper (DSP) is how quickly you can create beautiful cards. With pre-printed floral images already included, you can spend more time enjoying the creative process. Just let the paper do all the work!
The first two card ideas feature the 4 x 6″ pre-printed floral designs in the Lovely Blossoms DSP. Simply cut them down to 3-3/4 x 5-1/2 inches, add them to a card base, and decorate as desired.

The third card idea features a 4 x 6″ design, from the Lovely Blossoms DSP, cut down to 3-1/2 x 4-1/4.” Add the floral piece to a 1-1/2 x 4-3/4″ Secret Sea cardstock layer. The scallop design is created with the circle shapes found in the Lovely Arrangement Die set.
Adding Layers
Now let’s look at some ways to use the smaller pieces of printed artwork on the Lovely Blossoms DSP. This time we will add a few cardstock layers to accent or highlight the pre-printed designs.
The first card idea features two of the 3 x 4″ Lovely Blossoms DSP panels layered together. By offsetting these panels a bit, you can create a simple yet beautiful background and focal point for the card.
To create the second card, cut down the 3 x 4″ panel to 2-5/8 x 3-5/8.” Add a variety of different cardstock layers to add interest and dimension. The Crumb Cake layer is 4 x 5-1/4.” The embossed white cardstock layer is 3-3/4 x 5″. The Secret Sea layer is 1-1/2 x 4.”

The last card idea features a fun way to use the 2 x 2″ squares from the Lovely Blossoms DSP. Adhere 3 squares diagonally across a 4 x 5-1/4″ piece of white cardstock. Die cut two rows of circle shapes using the Lovely Arrangements dies. Weave a bit of ribbon in between the circle shapes and adhere to the white cardstock. The greeting is stamped on a 4 x 1/2″ piece of white cardstock using Secret Sea ink.
