Let’s look at some alternate ways to use the February 2026 Paper Pumpkin kit called Celebrate Spring. The kit includes all the supplies you need to make 9 cards. However, you can easily cut apart the supplies in the kit to create a variety of different card designs. Creating alternative designs is such a great way to “stretch” your supplies and get the most out of your Paper Pumpkin kit.
Paper Pumpkin Kit
First let’s talk about the card ideas as featured in the February 2026 Paper Pumpkin kit. The kit includes all the supplies you need to make 9 cards: 3 of each of 3 different designs. I like to create one of each of the kit cards before I start creating alternate designs.

Now let’s take a look at some of the ways you can create additional cards simply by cutting apart the supplies that come in the kit as I have 6 different alternate designs to share with you.
Alternative Cards
The very first thing I do with any paper pumpkin kit is to take a peek at the front and back of each of the different card bases. There are typically beautiful designs on both sides of the card bases in the kit. For this particular kit, the card base had a pre-printed design on the front and a coordinating plain color on the back. I did cut my card bases in half, on the score line, to create two pieces measuring 4-1/4 x 5-1/2″ which I used as patterned paper and die cut layers for these cards.

These first two card ideas feature half of one of the large, pre-printed card bases from the kit. Start by cutting the card base down to 4-1/2 x 4-1/4.” Next, cut the piece in half, on the 4-1/2″ side, to create two pieces measuring 2-1/4 x 4-1/4.” Use one half to decorate the first card and the other half for the second card. The pink patterned paper is a 3/4 x 5″ piece cut from the flap of one of the kit envelopes.
Simple Card Designs
Now let’s take a peek at some of quick and simple designs. These paper pumpkin alternative designs simply feature some of the large, pre-printed elements from the kit. Instead of adding these elements to the kit card bases, I added them to an embossed A2 size card. I love how the pre-printed wreath and basket really pop on some white cardstock.

Besides the white card base, you can add some additional elements like a little bit of a doily and even a bit of the pink patterned paper cut at 4-1/4 x 3/4″ from one of the kit envelopes.
Beautiful Blooms Dies
Now let’s look at some ways to use the coordinating Beautiful Blooms Dies. This particular die set coordinates with the January, February and March Paper Pumpkin kits! I love the versatility of the dies. For these card ideas, I used the dies to create the pretty tulip focal point on each card. One tulip is cut from Peach Pie cardstock while the other from Pretty in Pink cardstock. The stem/leaves were cut from the backside of one of the kit card bases.

The first card features one of the light-colored card bases from the kit. Cut down the peach-colored papers, from the kit, to 2-1/2 x 4.” Add a 3-1/4 x 4″ piece of embossed white cardstock and adhere to the card front. The rectangular shape, with the Peach tulip, comes from the kit.
The layout for the second card features a 4-3/4 x 1-3/4″ piece of pink paper cut from the flap of one of the kit envelopes. Cut down the blue card base, with the pre-printed flowers, to 4-1/4 x 2-1/2.” Add one of the rectangular shapes from the kit and embellish with the die cut flower and a greeting.
