If you loved the gold Metallic Textures Rub-On Elements, you’re going to be just as excited about the silver ones! In this post, I’m sharing the projects from my latest livestream where we created 4 Christmas cards. The cards feature the Silver Metallic Textures and the Peace on Earth Bundle from Stampin’ Up!
These designs build upon the ideas I shared in my previous video with gold accents. However, this time, we’re giving everything a cooler, more peaceful feel with silver. Check out the cards with the gold metallic textures HERE.
Silver Metallic Textures
Silver brings a classic, peaceful look to Christmas cards. It pairs beautifully with snowflakes, stars, and even doves to create a peaceful wintery scene. The Metallic Textures Rub-Ons make it so easy to add these shiny details to any surface—no special tools required.
The card layouts can be used with any supplies you have on hand. Simply rub the silver metallic element on the cardstock and then add a few simple layers around it.
The layers for the first card include a 1-1/2 x 4-1/2″ piece of Cloud Cover cardstock. Layer a 1-1/2 x 4″ piece of the Peaceful Garden DSP over the top of the cardstock.
The layers for the second card include a 5-1/4 x 4″ piece of embossed white cardstock. Cut a coordinating label shape from Misty Moonlight cardstock using the Peace on Earth dies. Add a 1 x 5-1/4″ piece of DSP and decorate as desired.
Peace on Earth Bundle
All 4 of the cards combine the Silver Metallic Textures with products from the Peaceful Garden Suite. This suite of products was just launched this week in the Stampin’ Up! 2025 Sept–Dec Mini Catalog. The greetings and the dove die-cut shapes pair beautifully with the soft shimmer of the silver metallic textures.
The layers for the first card include a 1-1/2 x 4-1/4″ piece of DSP. Next, add two pieces of Cloud Cover cardstock measuring 1/4 x 4-1/4.” The second card features a 1 x 5-1/2″ piece of Cloud Cover cardstock. Layer a 1 x 5″ piece of DSP over the cardstock. Add the silver elements, a greeting and decorate as desired.
