Let’s play around with some alternate ways to use the July 2025 Paper Pumpkin kit called Sweeter with You. The kit includes all the supplies you need to make 8 cards. However, you can easily cut apart the supplies in the kit and use them differently to create even more cards! Creating alternative designs is such a great way to get the most out of your Paper Pumpkin kit.
Paper Pumpkin Kit
First let’s talk about the card designs as featured in the July 2025 Paper Pumpkin kit. The kit includes all the supplies you need to make 8 cards; 2 of each of the 4 different designs. I created one of each of the four different card designs from the kit before I started creating alternative designs.

Now let’s take a look at some of the ways you can create additional cards simply by cutting apart the supplies that come in the kit as I have 10 different designs to share with you.
Alternative Cards
The very first thing I do with any paper pumpkin kit is to take a peek at the front and back of each of the different card bases. Typically, there are beautiful designs on both sides of the card bases in the kit.
I cut up all of the card bases, in half, on the score line to create two pieces measuring 4-1/4 x 5-1/2.” If you decide to cut all 8 of card bases in half, you will end up with 16 pieces which you can use as patterned paper!

The first two alternate designs are actually the kit designs. I started by creating a card base using Garden Green (Card#1) or Pool Party (Card#2). Next, I cut down the kit card base to 3-3/4 x 5-1/2″. The patterned card base serves as the backdrop for each of these cards.

The next two card ideas feature the strawberry patterned paper cut from the kit card bases. The first card features a 2-3/4 x 4″ piece of the strawberry paper. Adhere it to one of the scalloped rectangular pieces from the kit and then to the Pool Party card front. Add a 3-1/2 x 2-1/4″ piece of vellum and a greeting from the kit.
The second card idea features a 2-1/2 x 5-1/2″ piece of the strawberry paper. Adhere it to a 2-3/4 x 5-1/2″ piece of Real Red cardstock. Adhere one of the scalloped vellum pieces from the kit to the center of a Garden Green card front. Add the strawberry panel piece. Create a 3″ circle shape for the focal point.
Stamped Background
The next couple of card ideas feature a fun way to use the exclusive stamp set from the July 2025 Paper Pumpkin kit. I love it when the exclusive stamp set has more than just greetings.
The first card features a clean and simple design using white on white. Start with a white card base. Cut a 3-3/4 x 5″ piece of white cardstock. Stamp the small flower image across the white cardstock using Pool Party ink. Add the striped paper piece, from the kit, or cut a 3-1/8 x 1-3/4″ piece of paper from your stash. Add two strawberries and then create the hello greeting using the Circle of Seasons add-on die set. As a side note, the die set can be used for this kit as well as the next two paper pumpkin kits!

The second card idea features the strawberry and small flower image stamped randomly across a 5 x 3-3/4″ piece of white cardstock. Use Real Red, Garden Green and Pool Party ink. Adhere the stamped white cardstock to a 5-1/4 x 4″ piece of black cardstock and then adhere to a white card base. Create the greeting with heat embossing on a 2-3/4 x 1-1/4″ piece of black cardstock. Add a 2-1/4 x 1-1/2″ piece of Garden Green cardstock behind the greeting.
Simple Card Ideas
Now let’s look at some simple card ideas which will really stretch your kit supplies. If you cut apart your card bases, you will have lots of patterned paper options to play with. These card ideas feature three of the four different patterned card base designs from the kit.
The first card is more of a clean and simple type of design using a white-on-white background. Start with a white card base and add a 3-3/4 x 5″ piece of white cardstock. Cut a 3-3/4 x 1″ piece of the polka dot patterned card base. Add a 3-3/4 x 1/4″ piece of garden green cardstock. Create a focal point with your greeting, some strawberries and a little flower from the kit.

The second card idea is a three panel design. The panels, from left to right, measure 1 x 4, 1-1/2 x 4 and 1-1/2 x 4.” Arrange them on the white card base and decorate as desired with elements from the kit.
Using Up Scraps
The last two July 2025 Paper Pumpkin alternative designs feature a great way to use up some of the scrap papers. The first card features a 4 x 3-1/4″ piece of the polka dot paper on a Pool Party card base. Add a 4-1/4 x 1-1/2″ piece of the strawberry paper. The greeting features one of the Nested Essentials die cut shapes.

The second card idea features two different patterned papers cut from the kit card bases. The polka dot pieces are 1/2 x 4-1/4″. The center piece is 2 x 4-1/4″. Add a 3-5/8 x 2″ piece of vellum in the center of the card front. Create your focal point using elements from the kit.
