June 2025 Paper Pumpkin Alternatives

Let’s play around with some alternate ways to use the June 2025 Paper Pumpkin kit called Full of Charm. The kit includes all the supplies you need to make 9 cards. However, you can easily cut apart the supplies in the kit and use them differently to create even more cards! Creating alternative designs is such a great way to get the most out of your Paper Pumpkin kit.

Paper Pumpkin Kit

First let’s talk about the card designs as featured in the June 2025 Paper Pumpkin kit. The kit includes all the supplies you need to make 9 cards; 3 of each of the 3 different designs. I created one of each of the three different card designs from the kit before I started creating alternative designs.

Now let’s take a look at some of the ways you can create additional cards simply by cutting apart the supplies that come in the kit as I have 8 different designs to share with you.

Alternative Cards

The very first thing I do with any paper pumpkin kit is to take a peek at the front and back of each of the different card bases. Typically, there are beautiful designs on both sides of the card bases in the kit.

I cut up all of the card bases, in half, on the score line to create two pieces measuring 4-1/4 x 5-1/2.” If you decide to cut all 9 of card bases in half, you will end up with 18 pieces which you can use as patterned paper!

These first two cards feature the floral design printed on three of the card bases in the kit. For the first card, I cut the floral card front down to 4-1/4 x 4-1/4.” Add a 4-1/2 x 3-1/2″ Granny Apple Green cardstock layer behind it. Adhere to a Pretty Peacock A2 size card base.

For the second card, I started with a bit of paper tearing across the top part of the 4-1/4 x 5-1/2″ card front. I cut about a 1/2 inch off the bottom. Add a 3/4 x 4-1/4″ piece of Granny Apple Green cardstock, as shown, and adhere to an A2 size Pretty Peacock card base.

Stretch the Die Cut Shapes

The next set of alternate card designs feature the large pink floral spray from the June 2025 Paper Pumpkin kit. I started by cutting one of these floral sprays in half to create two pieces. Be sure to watch the video as I walk you through where and how to cut this piece apart.

Take one of the gold splatter card base pieces and cut it down to 4-1/4 x 4-1/4.” Cut a 4-1/4 x 3/4″ piece of Granny Apple Green cardstock. Adhere the green cardstock to the top of the gold splatter piece and then adhere to the Berry Burst A2 size card base. Add one of the floral pieces and greeting to finish off the card.

The second card idea uses up the other half of the floral spray. Start with a piece of Berry Burst cardstock to create an A2 size card base. Cut a 3/4 x 3-1/2″ piece of Granny Apple Green cardstock and adhere it to the center top part of the Berry Burst card front. Next, cut a 3-1/2 x 4″ piece from of one of the card base designs in the kit and adhere it down the center of the card front. Add the floral spray piece and a greeting.

Diamond Background

Another fun card base in the 2025 Paper Pumpkin kit features this diamond design. The design is perfectly symmetrical on the front of the card base but the design on the back is slightly off center. Once you cut the card base apart, use the back of the card base to create these alternate designs.

Simply cut the back of the diamond style card base to 3-1/8 x 5-1/2.” To create the portrait style card, adhere this piece down the center of a Pretty Peacock A2 size card base. Decorate as desired.

To create the landscape style card, cut a 3-1/8 x 5-1/2″ piece of the diamond design (from the back of one of the kit card bases). Add a 4-1/2 x 3-1/2″ piece of Pretty Peacock cardstock behind the design. Stamp a variety of images on the diamond design using Berry Burst ink. Stamp a greeting and decorate with layers of elements from the kit.

Simple Layers

The last two alternate card ideas feature some of the leftover die cut elements from the kit. The first card features the beautiful die cut floral element. Start by creating an A2 size card base from Pretty Peacock cardstock. Cut a 4 x 5-1/2″ piece of the gold splatter card base and adhere it to the right side of the Pretty Peacock card front.

The second card idea features the diamond card base design cut to 3-3/4 x 5″ on a Pretty Peacock card base. Layer a variety of stamped and die cut piece in the center of the diamond. Embellish as desired.
