If you love fun fold cards that make a statement, the Front Step Pop-Up Card is a must-try! This unique design is both visually stunning and practical—it pops up beautifully for display yet folds flat for easy mailing. Today, I’m excited to share a step-by-step guide using the Lovely Garden Suite from Stampin’ Up! to create this gorgeous interactive card.
Front Step Pop-Up Design
The Front Step Pop-Up Card is a fun fold design where the pop-up mechanism is adhered to the front of a standard A2 card base (4-1/4” x 5-1/2”). This design creates an accordion style fun fold card without a lot of effort!
Start with a 4-1/4 x 11″ piece of Garden Green cardstock; score at 5-1/2″ to create a top folding A2 size card base. Next, cut a 4 x 9-3/4″ piece of Thick Basic White cardstock. Score the 9-3/4″ side at 2-1/4 and 4-1/2.” Accordion fold the white cardstock and adhere to the front of the A2 card base to create the steps.
Now you are ready to decorate the card! This card features a variety of products from the Lovely Garden suite from Stampin’ Up! However, you can decorate the card with any supplies you have on hand.
Another Decorating Idea
This front step design is so much fun to play with that I just had to create another card! I used the exact same measurements to create this card. The only difference is that I changed out the colors and flowery focal point.
