Masking One Sheet Wonder Cards

Learn how to mask a one sheet wonder template to create 4 beautiful cards. The cards feature the Abundant Beauty Decorative Masks from Stampin’ Up! However, keep in mind you can use any stamp set or decorative masks you have on hand to create your own one sheet wonder design.

Masking Template

First let’s talk about the one sheet wonder template. Start with a piece of white cardstock cut at 7-1/2 x 10 inches. Place the white cardstock in your paper trimmer with the 7-1/2 inch side at the top. Line up the left side of the paper at the 3-3/4 inch mark. Using your paper trimmer groove as a guide, draw a pencil line down the center of the white cardstock. Turn the paper so the 10 inch side is at the top. Line up the left side at 5 inches and draw another pencil line down the center. You will end up with 4 sections measuring 3-3/4 x 5 inches. I like using my paper trimmer to make the pencil marks because it’s quick and simple!

Once you have the pencil marks on the white cardstock, you are ready to mask the one sheet wonder! Use the Abundant Beauty Decorative Masks to create sunflowers across the white cardstock. Mask four sets of sunflowers on and around the pencil lines on the white cardstock. Once the masking is complete, cut apart the sunflower design on the pencil lines.

One Sheet Wonder Cards

Now we are ready to make the four one sheet wonder cards! Since the template gives us four sunflower designs measuring 3-3/4 x 5 inches, I decided to matte them out on a 4 x 5-1/4 inch piece of Pecan Pie cardstock before adding them to the Early Espresso card bases.

One of my favorite things about the Abundant Beauty Decorative Masks is that they come in a pack of 7. Yes, there are 7 decorative masks! Three of the masks enable you to create fun background designs for your cards. So, in this case, I used one of the decorative masks to create the 3/4 x 5 inch strips on the cards.
