Today I have a variety of card ideas to share featuring the August 2022 Paper Pumpkin Kit called Sweet Sunflowers. The kit contains all the materials you need to create 9 cards. This month I decided to create a variety of cards featuring the exclusive stamp set. I also used the card bases and envelopes from the kit to create even more cards!
Paper Pumpkin Kit
The August 2022 Paper Pumpkin kit contains all of the materials to create 9 cards; 3 of each of the 3 different designs. Here is a sneak peek of the 3 different designs from the kit. The only card I did not modify is the one on the far right. 🙂
Each Paper Pumpkin kit includes an exclusive stamp set, an ink spot and a variety of supplies to create the projects. The stamp set in the August 2022 Paper Pumpkin kit features 10 different images you can use to make the kit projects and, of course, for additional card making. The alternative card ideas I have to share today feature the exclusive stamp set, a few of my own supplies and materials from the kit.
Cards from Envelopes
After playing around with the cards in the kit, I decided to cut apart the envelopes! The envelopes in the kit are just as pretty as the cards. Start by cutting off the flap of the card. I recommend making the cut slightly above the score line on the envelope flap. Trim the sides of the flap just to even them out. You will be using that flap to create this first card.
Once you cut off the flap, you are ready to cut the bottom of the envelope to create a 4 x 5-1/4 inch piece. There are 9 envelopes in the kit so if you cut apart all the envelopes, you can make 18 cards! 9 cards with the flap and 9 cards with the bottom of the envelope.
These two cards give you an idea on how to use the 4 x 5-1/4 inch piece cut from the bottom of the envelope. Simply adhere the 4 x 5-1/4 inch piece to your card front and then decorate as desired.
Exclusive Stamp Set
The last couple of card ideas feature the exclusive stamp set which came in the kit. Of course, I added a few of my own supplies. The chicken wire pieces were included as a gift in this month’s kit. I simply cut them apart to use as embellishments on the cards.
The sunflower image in this particular stamp set was fun to use with the twist technique. Not sure what the twist technique is? Well, you simply stamp the image once. Ink up the image again and turn it slightly, to the right or left, and then stamp over the first image. It gives the image more depth and dimension. Be sure to watch the video to see this technique in action and to get all the measurements for these card layouts.

As you can see, there are a variety of different things you can create with the stamp set and materials in each Paper Pumpkin kit! However, you must subscribe to the program by the 10th of each month in order to receive that month’s kit. Once the deadline passes, the kits are no longer available.
