10 Autumn Themed Cards – Beautiful Autumn Bundle

One of the best ways to celebrate World Card Making Day is to make some cards of course! This year I held a special LIVE event on Facebook and YouTube were I featured 10 autumn themed cards created with the Beautiful Autumn Bundle! It was super fun! If you missed the live event, you can catch the replay of the two part series, Part 1 and Part 2, on my YouTube channel.

Besides hosting this event LIVE, I also created some card kits to go along with the event! Yes, you can purchase a card kit or use your own supplies to stamp along with me in the video! Of course you can also just watch the videos and do the stamping later. No matter what you decide, I hope you will check out these 10 beautiful autumn themed cards. You can learn more about the card making kits HERE.

Autumn Themed Card Layouts

One of the first things you will notice about these cards is the quick and simple layouts! I love to create beautiful cards that are easy to put together. These cards also require a minimal amount of supplies! You need a stamp set, some patterned paper, embellishments and ONE ink color. Yes, that’s it!

The patterned paper makes up the backdrop for each of the cards. The greeting or sentiment typically becomes the focal point for the card. And you can use ANY shape (i.e. circle, square, label, etc.) as your focal point. These two basic components make up the layout or design of the card. Once you have the layout, then simply embellish the card as desired.

Adding a Little Pizzazz

Of course you can embellish any card layout with a variety of different things to jazz it up. For these cards, I focused on using some of the leaf and acorn shapes in the patterned paper. The Autumn Punch pack contains 2 small leaf punches and an acorn punch which coordinate with the images in the Gilded Autumn Designer Series Paper. So you can easily punch out the images and use them to decorate the card.

The other embellishments include some Gold Gilded Gems and a bit of linen thread. Each card takes less than 5 minutes to put together. Simple, yet stunning! One of the other embellishments I decided to use was a gold hoop. These little hoops are perfect for creating a wreath with the little acorn and leaf images. Be sure to watch the video for some tips on adhering the hoop to your card front.

Using Up Scraps

Of course one of the other fun things about these simple card layouts is that you can easily use up scrap pieces of patterned paper. The first card features 1 x 4 inch pieces that are staggered across the card front. It makes an awesome back drop for the card.

The second card features a variety of different sized scrap pieces. You can easily trim down the length or width of your scraps if needed. You can also cut them into little 1 x 1 inch squares to create a fun quilt card design. Just think of all of the 1 inch strips of scrap papers you have lying around that could be used to put together this quick card idea.

One of the other fun card making techniques I have been using features the use of greetings or sentiments. You can create a fun stamped frame around the outside of your card front with stamping!

Autumn Themed Cards Landscape Style

The last couple of card ideas feature some simply layouts in landscape style. You can change the whole look of your card simply by changing the orientation from portrait style to landscape. A portrait style card opens from right to left. A landscape style card open from the bottom up.

All of these cards feature the Beautiful Autumn Bundle (stamp set and three punches) and the Gilded Autumn Designer Series Paper. For a complete list of all of the supplies and the step-by-step instructions for creating these cards, feel free to download the printable tutorial.

I hope you enjoy these card ideas as much as I did. Be sure to check out the videos for some fun tips and to stamp along with me. Have a fun and creative day my friends! ~ Lynn
