Today we are going to use the Step It Up technique to create 3 simple yet pretty cards with the new Daisy Lane stamp set. Stepping up your cards is a great way to use your card designs over and over again without having to come up with new ideas!
Step It Up Technique
This card making technique enables you to take a simple card design and, step it up, to create new card designs.
Cards can be stepped up in a variety of ways simply by adding layers or embellishments. You can also step up a card design by changing the orientation from portrait to landscape or vice a versa. And, you can even create a fun fold! The key to stepping your cards is to maintain the focal point, like the daisies, but then change up the other elements of the card to make it a little different.
3 Simple Card Ideas
In week’s video, you will learn how to take one card design and then, with a few modifications, step it up to create 2 more cards that have a slightly different look. One of the cards is a fun fold design called a z-fold card.
You will also learn a fun and simple way to add color to your stamped images using Stampin Up sponge daubers.
The projects featured in this video showcase the Stampin’ Up Daisy Lane stamp set. However, keep in mind that you can use the measurements provided in this video with any stamp set or patterned papers you have on hand. Just get creative with it!
