Have you ever put something in a “safe place” only to realize later that you forgot where that place was? Well, that’s exactly what I did with last month’s Paper Pumpkin kit! I was so excited when it came in the mail! I remember opening it but knew that I couldn’t work on it right away so I just tucked away in that “safe place” with plans to work on it in a few days. Unfortunately, I could not remember for the life of me where in the world I stashed it! I looked everywhere I thought it could be. I even thought maybe my hubby was hiding it from me but he was adamant he never saw it! Haha! Well, I actually gave up. And just when I thought I would never find it, I opened up a drawer in my craft room and low and behold…there it was!
I was so happy that I finally found it that I sat down right away to create the projects! I just couldn’t risk losing this kit again! Haha! And these nautical themed projects, well they are just super cute! The kit contained all of the materials to create 20 little note cards and 4 fun boxes! Of course the note cards fit perfectly into the little boxes which means they will make such adorable little gifts!
As with all of the kits, I love to create additional cards with the exclusive stamp set that comes in the kit. And this particular kit had a few extra anchors, life preservers and other fun materials. I love it when there are extras! I decided to use a few pieces of the By the Shore Designer Series Paper that I had on hand. This designer paper is retired but I thought it coordinated well with the stamp set and other materials in the kit. I love it when I can dip into my stash of papers!
Whether you are a beginner or an avid crafter, there is something for everyone with these monthly kits. I really look forward to receiving the kits as I love getting new ideas and, of course, new crafty things to play with!
