Hello Stampin’ Friends! Today I have a fun shaker card to share with all of you! This shaker card is unique in that it is a wedding card that was created with products from the holiday catalog! Yes, you can create more than just holiday cards with the products in the catalog. The product bundle is called Shake & Celebrate. There are a variety of images in this set that can be used to create awesome shaker cards for many different occasions! Birthdays, Christmas and, yes, even weddings! The possibilities are endless!
To make this card, start with a piece of basic black cardstock for the base of your card. Cut a 5-1/4 x 4 inch piece of whisper white cardstock. Take the large framelit that looks like a fancy layered cake and place it in the center of the white cardstock. Cut out the image using your big shot or other embossing machine. Place the white cardstock in the Pretty Paisley Embossing Folder, be sure to emboss around the cake you cut out. Stamp the decorative scroll and sentiment images on the cake, as shown, using black ink.
Flip the white cardstock over and adhere a 3 x 4 inch piece of a window sheet over the cake image that you cut out with the framelits.
Outline each of the layers of the cake with dimensionals. The new foam adhesive strips work the best for this!
Fill each section of the cake in with some white colored mica flakes. Carefully peel off the paper from the adhesive strips and then adhere a 3 x 4 inch piece of white cardstock over the top of the mica flakes.
Adhere this piece to your black card base using foam adhesive strips. For the finishing touch, embellish the cake with a few pearls and a bow. Enjoy!
