Here is the second project I created with last month’s Paper Pumpkin kit…and it is by far, my favorite! it was inspired by my husband who thought I should make a more masculine project with one of the bags.
I started out by stamping the Hardwood image on the front of the bag using early espresso ink. It was a bit of a challenge to line it up as the image had to be stamped twice. But it turned out perfect! Next I stamped a few fish images from the By the Tide stamp set and then cut them out by hand. The fish are strung up on some linen thread and secured to the bag with a few dimensionals. The clothes pin and the “dad” circles came from the kit.
Next, I added a bit of burlap ribbon across the front…I snipped off the bottom part of the ribbon and then pulled out a few strands so that I ended up with the fringed look. The bobbers are the best…simply genius (don’t tell my hubby I called him that). I used the blue circles that came in the kit…added a bit of white to the top of the circles and then punched them out with the 1 1/4 inch circle punch. The bobber top comes from the modern label punch. Super cool gift bag! Hope you enjoyed it! If you would like to learn more about the Paper Pumpkin kit program, visit http://bit.ly/YZn5ml
