Ok…so you can probably tell that I am on a journaling kick right now. 🙂 The other day I put together a masculine journal as a present for my hubby! Now I am working on a variety of other journals geared more for the ladies…elegant, beautiful and feminine. 🙂
This is one of my favorite designer series paper…Beau Chateau (which is retired now). I covered a composition notebook with the DSP and embellished it with a variety of things using the big shot dies. The fan was so simple…I used the rosette die and instead of making a full round rosette, I just used half of the rosette. I also put together some crinkled flowers to decorate the bottom of the fan. I simply cut out 4 scalloped circles (1 1/4″)…2 in bashful blue and 2 in first edition DSP. I sprinkled them with water, crumpled them up and then put a brad through the center of them all. Then I scrunched each layer of the flower to get the crinkled look. 🙂
I just love how the journals are turning out! So simple and beautiful! Stay tuned for more journal creations. 🙂
