Petal Garden

This past week I had some time to play in my craft room. I love getting creative! Especially when my ideas just seem to come out of nowhere. But that doesn’t always happen. A few weeks ago I created several different watercolored backgrounds. I enjoy watercoloring so I was experimenting with a variety of different color combinations.  I really didn’t know what I wanted to do with the watercolored backgrounds so I just created a bunch and set them aside.  Well this past week I decided to pull them all out again…and here is what I created.

I happen to be playing around with the materials in the Petal Garden Memories & More card pack when it hit me…the gold rose in that pack would look so pretty on one of those watercolored backgrounds I created a few weeks back. And…it dos! This card is quite simple to create. You can choose any colors to create your background. This particluar watercolor background was created with the following colors:  Pear Pizazz, Rich Razzelberry, Soft Sky and Calypso Coral. Cut a 5-1/4 x 4 inch piece of shimmery white (or watercolor paper). Using an aqua painter, randomly add blotches of color across the cardstock. Let dry and then embellish as desired.
