Stampin’ on DSP

Did you know you can stamp on designer papers? Yep, you can! I would recommend choosing designer papers that have small patterns if you plan on stamping images on them. The smaller patterns allow you to see the details of the stamped images while also providing fun backgrounds for your projects….like the project that I have to share with you today.irresistibly yours flower stampedStampin’ Up! has a fun new specialty designer series paper (DSP) pack called Irresistibly Yours.  And this paper is not available for purchase…but it is one of the FREE items you can choose during Sale-a-bration when you place a qualifying order of $50! It’s probably one of my favorite paper packs because there is so much you can do with it…sponge it, brayer it, and stamp on it!  Today, we will focus on stamping on this DSP. To make this project, start with a piece of sahara sand cardstock for the base of your card. Cut a 5 1/4 x 4 inch piece of blushing bride cardstock and a 5 x 3 3/4 inch piece of the polka dot pattern from the Irresistibly Yours DSP pack.  I used images from the new Crazy About You stamp set for this particular project. Stamp the leaf images on the DSP using blushing bride ink. Stamp the flower image on the DSP using strawberry slush ink. Sponge a bit of blushing bride ink around all of the images that you just stamped. Once you have completed the stamping and sponging, simply grab a tissue or napkin and wipe off the excess ink so the polka dot pattern shows through all of the stamping and sponging. Then simply embellish your card with a bit of ribbon and a button. That’s it! Super simple and elegant project! Enjoy!
