Something Borrowed ~ Gift Set

artisan embellishments 16Whether you are planning a wedding or you will be attending one, we’ve gotcha covered with the new Something Borrowed product suite. There are some gorgeous products contained in this suite:  Designer paper, embellishments, lace trim and, of course, stamp sets. You can check out all of the these products in the new Stampin’ Up! Occasions catalog on pages 42-43. Today I want to share a little wedding gift set that I put together with the beautiful new Something Borrowed Designer Series Paper and the lace trim.

Let’s take a look at the card first.  Start with a piece of sahara sand cardstock for the base of your card. Cut a 5 1/4 x 4 inch piece of whisper white cardstock and stamp a little sentiment in the upper left hand corner using sahara sand ink. Cut a 5 1/4 x 2 inch piece of your favorite pattern from the Something Borrowed DSP collection….be sure to pull out an extra piece for your gift bag. Secure the 2 inch piece to the white cardstock. Cut a piece of the Sahara sand 7/8″ lace trim and run it across the bottom of the DSP on the card (secure the ends to the back of the white paper) and mount it to the card base. I used the flower frenzy die to cut out all of the different flower shapes for the card…the die cuts out all of the pieces, you just need to layer them together. You can use white paper to cut out the flowers or the Irresistibly Yours DSP which is free with a qualifying order during sale-a-bration. Use sahara sand cardstock for the leaves. Once you have the pieces cut out, simply layer them together and secure to the card as shown. For the finishing touches, embellish with a few pearls.

The gift bag is super simple because the framelit cuts out all of the pieces….you just need to assemble it! Check out this Stampin’ Up! tutorial on how to use the new framelit set

Once you have the treat bag assembled, you can decorate it any way you like!  For this project, I simply cut out a silver glimmer paper “for you” sentiment (with one of the framelits in the set), embellished with a few pearls and tied a beautiful lace trim bow on it.  It’s so elegant! And the best part is…it was quick and simple to put together! Enjoy!
