Whether you are brand new to cardmaking or a seasoned stamper looking for a quick way to create, this kit is a must-have. But why stop there? Let’s go beyond the box and explore some alternative ways to use this kit in your card making.

What’s Inside the Birthday Sparkle Kit?

The Birthday Sparkle Kit includes an exclusive stamp set, Early Espresso ink spot, and all the supplies you need to create 6 birthday cards and 6 birthday tags—3 each of 2 different designs. You’ll find pre-printed card bases, die-cut accents, coordinating envelopes, sparkly pieces, and an easy-to-follow instruction sheet.

Alternate Designs

The pre-designed Birthday Sparkle projects are beautiful as-is but I love to put my own spin on things. As such, I created 6 different alternate designs using the exclusive stamp set and supplies from this kit.

One of my favorite things to do with a kit is to cut apart the card bases. The card bases in each kit typically come with a pre-printed design on the front and back of the card base. Simply cut the card bases in half, on the score line, and use the designs as patterned paper for card making.

Most of the alternate designs feature different patterned papers cut from the card bases in the kit. However, for some of the designs I used the gingham patterned paper from the Perennial Lavender DSP pack.

The last 3 alternate designs feature some fun ways to use the tags and other shapes in the kit to create some A2 size cards. Be sure to watch the replay of the livestream for some tips on how to put together the alternative designs.

Creating alternate designs is a great way to get the most out of each kit! You can cut apart the supplies in the kit and add some of your own supplies to create alternative designs. I was able to create over 15 cards using these alternative designs!
