If you love cardmaking and want to try something new, you’ll love this Corner Fold Pop-Up Card! This clever little fun fold adds a pop-up surprise to your card front and folds flat for easy mailing—perfect for sending happy mail to friends and loved ones.
The best part? You don’t need any special tools or dies—just a paper trimmer, some double-sided patterned paper, and your favorite stamps or embellishments.
Corner Fold Pop Up Design
First let’s talk about the corner fold pop up design. Start with an 8 x 6-3/4″ piece of double-sided patterned paper. Score 2-3/4″ down from the top and 2-3/4″ in from the left side of the patterned paper. You will end up with a square in the upper left corner of the patterned paper where the score lines intersect.

Next, we need to create a diagonal score line so that the corner square “pops up.” Use a ruler to measure 5-1/2″ across the top and 5-1/2″ down the left side of the patterned paper. Make a pencil mark at each 5-1/2″ measurement. Line up the pencil marks and score diagonally across the patterned paper. Fold on all the score lines to create the corner pop up section! Be sure to watch the video to see this process in action.
