Card making doesn’t have to be complicated! If you enjoy making cards but don’t always have time for intricate designs, ephemera packs are the perfect solution for creating quick and beautiful handmade cards. Today, I’m sharing six easy card ideas using the Spring Celebrations Ephemera Pack, and you’ll see just how easy it is to put together stunning designs in minutes!
Ephemera Card Making
Ephemera packs are a fantastic way to add layers, color, and personality to your projects without the need for fancy tools or techniques. Here’s why they’re a must-have in your craft stash:
- Pre-designed elements – No stamping or coloring is necessary!
- Quick assembly – Just layer and adhere for instant beauty.
- Versatile use – Create cards for a variety of different occasions.
- Great for beginners – No special skills needed to create fantastic cards.

These first two card ideas feature a few of the ephemera greetings and butterflies from the Spring Celebrations pack. Add some texture and a few layers of paper and, voila, you have some really beautiful cards! I am using the Country Woods and Thoughtful Journey Designer Series Paper (DSP) for these cards.
The congratulations card is simply a 3-3/4 x 5-1/2″ piece of embossed white cardstock. Add a bit of torn paper to create layers down the embossed cardstock. I recommend grabbing of few scrap papers to create the layers. The pieces should be cut to 3-3/4″ in width by can be any length.
The Easter card features the same type of layering and design. Except this time start with a 4 x 5-1/4″ piece of embossed white cardstock. Add different layers of torn patterned paper and then embellish the card with some of the ephemera elements.
To Color or Not to Color
The great thing about the ephemera packs is that they come with predesigned elements which are ready to use in your card making. However, you can add color to some of the elements such as the flowers or bird elements on each of these cards or you can use them just “as is.”
For the first card, I am using some of the elements from the Fully Flowering ephemera pack. The flower image is a black and white image. As such, I decided to add a bit of color using pumpkin pie and old olive stampin’ blends. The patterned paper layer is 4-1/4 x 3.” The Mossy Meadow layer is 2 x 4″. The final layer is a 2-3/4 x 3-1/2″ piece of embossed white cardstock.

The second card idea features the bird element from the Spring Celebrations ephemera pack. It is a black and white element which you can color or use “as is.” For this layout, cut two pieces of the Country Woods DSP at 1 x 3-1/2 and cut one piece at 2-1/4 x 3-1/2.” Add the DSP to a 4 x 5-1/4″ piece of white cardstock. Add the ephemera elements to the center of the DSP.
Simple Layering
The last two card ideas feature some of the elements from the Spring Celebrations ephemera pack. The great thing about this particular ephemera pack is that it comes with greetings as well as images you can use to create the focal point.
To create the first card, start with a 4 x 5-1/4″ piece of embossed white cardstock. Add a 4 x 3-3/4″ piece of Pool Party cardstock. Layer on a 3-1/2 x 3-3/4″ piece of the Country Woods DSP. Then simply add a few ephemera pieces.

The last card idea features is a bit different from the rest as the ephemera pack included a few clovers and a good luck message. It was a great way for me to use up scraps! The banner is a 1-1/2 x 4-3/4″ piece of Granny Apple Green cardstock. The ombre glimmer paper is 2-1/4 x 3-1/2.” The center square is a 2-3/4 x 2-3/4″ piece of DSP layered onto a 3 x 3″ piece of Granny Apple Green cardstock. Add a few ephemera pieces and you have a fun St. Patrick’s Day card.
