Faith Collection Card Ideas

In this blog post, I’m sharing 6 beautiful, faith-based cards created with the Faith Collection from Stampin’ Up! These heartfelt designs are perfect for sharing the joy of the resurrection this Easter or to offer encouragement any time of year. Whether you’re sending hope, love, or a reminder of God’s promises, these cards are sure to bless and uplift.

Everyday Arches

The first two faith-based cards feature the use of the Everyday Arches dies. We are going to use the positive and negative space created from cutting out the arch die shape. Start with a 3-1/2 x 4-3/4″ piece of white cardstock. Die cut the arch in the center of the white cardstock using the 3-7/8 x 2-5/8″ arch die. We will use the die cut arch shape and the piece of the white cardstock with the arch “window.”

The first card features the negative space or the arch “window” which was created when we die cut the arch shape. Emboss this piece of cardstock. Cut another 3-1/2 x 4-3/4″ piece of cardstock. Stamp the palm branches and complete a bit of ink blending around the branches. Adhere the stamped cardstock to a 3-3/4 x 5″ piece of Daffodil Delight cardstock. Add the embossed arch over the top with a few stampin’ dimensionals. The cross is stamped on a piece of Pecan Pie cardstock using the same color ink as the cardstock. Die cut out the cross and adhere it to the card front. Decorate the card as desired.

The second card features the actual die cut arch as the focal point. This focal point is created in the same way as the one on the first card. Stamp a greeting on a 1/2 x 4″ piece of white cardstock. Adhere the greeting to a 1/2 x 4″ piece of Old Olive cardstock. Embellish with a floral image cut from the Floral Delight Designer Series Paper.

God is Love

The next two faith-based cards are perfect for providing encouragement and for sharing the gospel of salvation. The first card features the same type of arch focal point. The background is simply a 4 x 5-1/4″ piece of embossed white cardstock. Add a 2 x 4-1/4″ piece of Floral Delight Designer Series Paper and Decorate as desired.

The second card idea incorporates the use of one of the images from the elements of text stamp set. Start with a 4 x 5-1/4″ piece of white cardstock. Stamp the elements of text image on the white cardstock using Pecan Pie ink. I recommend using the stamp-off technique to lighten the words. Ink blend a bit of Daffodil Delight ink over the words and then emboss the cardstock. Tear off a corner of the white cardstock and add a bit of patterned paper behind it. Decorate the card with a variety of images from the Faith Collection Bundle.

Faith Based Cards

The last two faith-based cards feature a bit of layering with cardstock and patterned paper. Adding different layers to your cards is a great way to add depth and dimension. It also really accents the focal point on the card.

The first card features a patterned paper layer measuring 4 x 3 inches. The cardstock layers include a 3 x 2-1/2″ piece of Old Olive and a 3-1/2 x 2-1/2″ piece of embossed white cardstock.

To create the second card, start with a 5-1/4 x 4″ embossed white cardstock layer. The patterned paper layers are 1-1/2 x 4.” Create a torn edge on the brown paper layer and adhere them to the left side of the card front. Decorate the card as desired.

  1. Dear Lynn
Thanks so much for the beautiful “Collection of Faith” card. You’re right, it is more than a card, it’s a powerful reminder of God’s love for us. What could be better than His love for us! Thank you also for the booklet which I will read and keep in my Bible. Yes, this message and card touched my heart. I want to use this stamp set to create my Easter cards but unfortunately my husband is very ill and I may not get to them. We learned this week that he can’t get any better. So sad.
But we have God right here with us to give us comfort, guidance, love and strength. Your card inspired me to keep the faith and take one day at a time. Thank you!
    Love, Jeannette Taylor

    • Jeannette, you are very welcome. I am grateful that God gave me the opportunity to share his love through card making. I am so sorry to hear about your husband. May the Lord comfort you both and give you peace. Sending much love, Lynn

  2. Thank you, Lynn, for your bold faith in Jesus as our Savior. I share faith in Christ as well and am always excited to see other believers use faith based stamp sets. SU doesn’t release very many anymore but this is a nice one, and your cards are so beautiful!

    • Wonderful! Praise the Lord for your bold faith as well. I do wish SU had more faith-based stamp sets but I am grateful for this one.

  3. Hi Lynn: I didn’t realize my comment would be anonymous (the one below this). My name is Diane Campbell from Orillia, Ontario, Canada. I’ve been following for years & love your card ideas & ways to use up scraps.

    • Hi Diane, Thanks so much for your sweet comments! So happy to hear you enjoy the card ideas and that you shared your faith and love of Jesus too.

  4. Hi Lynn: Thanks for these beautiful cards. I have the Faith Collection & hope to get the Everyday Skies Suite with the arch dies. I’m a believer & grateful that you shared your faith & love of Jesus particularly during this season of Lent.

  5. These are beautiful Lynn. You always have such good ideas and they’re not impossible to make. I had the Faith Collection set and just got the Arches set and have done some designs but always love to see what your creativity has produced.

    • Thanks so much! These are very simple card ideas. I just love how they came together with Floral Delight papers.

  6. Thank you Lynn for all these suggestions. I aim to make a few to give out in church and these are different from ones I made last year.
