Meant to Bee Card and Scrapbook Layouts

If you love adding a touch of sweetness to your scrapbook pages and handmade cards, the Meant to Bee Bundle and Scrapbook Workshop Kit are just what you need! In this blog post, I’m sharing creative ways to use these supplies to make six scrapbook pages and seven unique card designs—perfect for capturing special memories and spreading a little handmade happiness.

Meant to Bee Scrapbook Kit

First let’s talk about the Meant to Bee Scrapbook Kit. This kit has everything you need to create 3 adorable two-page layouts. The charming bee-themed patterned papers and stickers make these layouts extra special.

The layouts are 12 x 12″ in size. The kit also includes the instructions for cutting your paper and assembling the pages. You can learn more about this kit HERE.

Once you finish making these fun scrapbook pages, you will have a few leftover supplies. You can easily take those leftover supplies and create some cute little cards.

Using Up Scraps

One of my favorite things to do with scrap pieces of patterned paper is to make some fun and simple card layouts. After creating all the scrapbook pages, I had plenty of little pieces left to make these cards. The bee images and hexagon shapes were created with the Meant to Bee Bundle.

The layout for the first card features strips of patterned paper and/or stickers cut to 1/2 x 3-1/2″. Simply add a few strips to each side of the card front and off set them a bit. The middle piece of patterned paper measures 2-1/2 x 4.”

The layout for the second card features a variety of different scrap pieces leftover from the kit. The purple piece measures 1-1/2 x 4-3/4″. The top right square measures 2 x 2″ and the bottom striped piece measures 2 x 2-5/8.”

Add greetings to the cards using the Meant to Bee Bundle or the Greetings for All ephemera pack.

Landscape Style Card Layouts

The next few card ideas feature some fun landscape style layouts. I enjoy creating cards in landscape and portrait style. Often times you can use the layout with either orientation to create a whole new look!

The layout for the first card features two pieces of patterned paper. The blue striped paper measures 4 x 3-1/2.” The floral paper is 5-1/2 x 1-3/4.”

To create the layout for the second card, start by adding a 5-1/2 x 1″ piece of the blue striped paper across the bottom of the card front. Add a 4-3/4 x 1-3/4″ piece of the floral paper directly about the striped paper. Cover up the “seam” between the two papers with a 1/2 x 5″ piece of one of the stickers from the kit.

The third card idea is a great way to showcase both sides of the cute bee paper. Start with a 4 x 3-1/4″ piece and fold over the upper right corner; secure the corner down with a stampin’ dimensional. Add a 2-1/2 x 3-3/4″ piece of Pool Party cardstock.

For the last card layout, start with at least a 3-1/2 x 3-1/2″ piece of the blue striped paper. Cut a 1-1/2 x 3-1/2″ piece of pink paper and create a torn edge. Adhere the patterned paper pieces to the card front. Cut a 2-1/2 x 1-3/4″ piece of the flower paper and adhere it to a 3 x 1-1/2″ piece of Pool Party cardstock.

Portrait Style Card Layouts

The last two Meant to Bee card ideas feature the exact same layout, I simply changed out the greeting and patterned papers to create a whole new look!

To create the layout, start with a 2-1/2 x 5″ piece of patterned paper. Cut a 1-1/2 x 4-1/2″ piece of Pool Party cardstock. Add a 2 x 4″ piece of a different patterned paper to the Pool Party cardstock and then adhere to the card front. Add a greeting and a focal point to complete the card.
