Are you ready to spread a little love this Valentine’s Day? In today’s blog post, I’m sharing 6 simple Valentine card ideas featuring the Pick A Season stamp set from Stampin’ Up! This versatile set is perfect for a variety of occasions, and the whimsical designs make it an ideal choice for Valentine’s Day.
Simple Stamping
First let’s talk do a little simple stamping! Sometimes less is more, right? For these two cards I really wanted to showcase how fun it is to stamp and decorate the tree. The image is stamped directly on a white card base and becomes the main focal point for the card. Just a little bit of patterned paper gives it just the right touch. And, in case you are wondering, the patterned paper is called Toadstool Gardens and it is also one of the many different items you can choose for free with a qualifying order during Sale-a-bration!

You can create the card in portrait or landscape style. The patterned paper pieces are identical for both cards. The green colored paper measures 1 x 4-1/4 inches. The melon mambo colored paper measures 1 x 4 inches. The greetings come from the Celebrate Love ephemera pack.
Arch Valentines
Now let’s talk about the colors and images used to create the Valentine tree. All 6 cards feature the same colors and images. There are three parts to creating the tree. Stamp the leaves using Granny Apple Green. The trunk of the tree features Pecan Pie. Stamp the little hearts in the white spaces of the leaves using Melon Mambo ink. You can change out those hearts to Easter eggs, clovers, or flowers to create cards for a variety of different occasions.

For these card ideas, I decided to use the Everyday Arches Dies to create the Valentine tree focal point. It’s just a fun way to give the focal point a new look. For more fun ways to use these arch dies, be sure to check out the arch-shaped Valentine cards from my latest blot post HERE.
The first card features a 3-3/4 x 5 inch piece of patterned paper in the background. Stamp the tree image on a 2-5/8 inch wide arch die cut shape. Add a 3 x 2-1/2 inch piece of Granny Apple Green cardstock behind the arch and adhere to the card front. The layout for the second card features a 2-1/4 x 5-1/4 inch piece of patterned paper. Both cards feature the same size focal point.
Simple Layering
The last two Valentine card ideas feature a few different cardstock and patterned paper layers. The focal point is identical for both cards as the tree, from the Pick A Season stamp set, is stamped on a 3 x 3-1/2 inch piece of white cardstock.
The patterned paper layer for the first card measures 4 x 4-1/4 inches. The Granny Apple Green cardstock layer measures 4-1/2 x 2-1/2 inches.

For the second card, I decided to add a bit of texture in the background by embossing the card front with the Dashing Designs embossing folder. Add a 2 x 4-1/4 inch piece of patterned paper. Cut a 3-1/2 x 2-1/2 inch piece of Granny Apple Green cardstock to accent the focal point.
