The cards feature a variety of products from the Wildly Flowering suite from Stampin’ Up! However, keep in mind you can use any patterned paper and supplies you have on hand with this fun fold card design.

The Patterned Paper Fold

First let’s talk about how to create the patterned paper fun fold section of the card. Start with a 4 x 12 inch piece of patterned paper. You are able to create this fun fold card in either landscape or portrait style. So be sure to pay attention to any directional patterns on your paper.

Cut a 1-1/2 x 4 inch piece off the end of the patterned paper. Score the remaining 4 x 10-1/2 inch piece at 1-1/4 and 5-1/4 inches. Fold the 1-1/4 inch section back onto itself and adhere it down. Fold on the 5-1/4 inch score line to create the fun fold card. Adhere the entire piece of patterned paper to a 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 inch piece of cardstock. Decorate as desired.

Use the leftover 1-1/2 x 4 inch piece of patterned paper to decorate the inside of the card. You are able to create 3 of these fun fold cards from one 12 x 12 inch piece of patterned paper!

Stepped Up Fun Fold

Now that you know how to create this patterned paper fun fold, you can easily step it up to create an interactive fun fold card! Simply create the patterned paper fun fold as described above and then adhere it to a z-fold style card base. To create the z-fold card base, cut a 4-1/4 x 11 inch piece of cardstock. Score the cardstock at 2-3/4 and 5-1/2 inches to create the card base.

This creates three different sections for the card: a front, middle and back. Lots of fun ways to decorate all 3 sections too! It creates such a WOW factor when you open up the card so be sure to watch the video to see the fun fold in action!
