Mediterranean Blooms Card Ideas

Let’s create 3 quick cards featuring the Mediterranean Blooms Designer Series Paper. We are going to use the cut and shuffle technique! I know I have shared this technique with you before. However, this time we are going to cut and shuffle a combination of patterned paper and cardstock to create 3 cards.

3 Quick Cards

First let’s talk about the technique! It’s often referred to as the cut and shuffle technique or the stack, cut and shuffle technique. Basically, you stack together 3 pieces of paper and cut them all at the same time.

For the cards I am sharing today, I have two pieces of patterned paper, and one piece of white cardstock cut at 4 x 5-1/4 inches. Place all 3 pieces in a paper trimmer and make two angled cuts.

One you have cut all the papers, shuffle them around so that you end up with two different pieces of patterned paper and one piece of white cardstock for each of the 3 cards!

I used this technique to create 3 cards in portrait style which feature the oranges. Then I used the similar angled cuts to create the portrait style lemon cards. The paper with the fruit is directional so it’s important to cut it appropriately so the fruit isn’t sideways. To create landscape style cards, start with 5-1/4 x 4 inch pieces of paper. To make portrait style cards, start with 4 x 5-1/4 inch pieces of paper.

Mediterranean Blooms

The products in the Mediterranean Blooms suite are so fun to play with! Not only did I create some quick cards with the DSP but, I also decided to feature it in this month’s tutorial. Each month I put together a tutorial as a little gift for anyone who shops with me using the monthly host code.

You can shop with this month’s host code HERE. The tutorial is also available for purchase HERE if you prefer that option instead.
