Today I have 9 different alternate card designs to share which feature the June 2024 Paper Pumpkin kit called Life Is Sweet. One of my favorite things to do with the kit is cut apart the supplies to create alternative designs. It’s such a great way to get the most out of each Paper Pumpkin kit!
Paper Pumpkin Kit
The June 2024 Paper Pumpkin kit includes all the supplies you need to make 9 cards; 3 of each of the 3 different designs. The kit also includes 9 coordinating envelopes.

I like to create one of each of the cards as featured in the kit. This month I decided to decrease the number of “fruit” images I put on the kit designs. This means I had extra fruit elements leftover for alternative card making!
Alternative Ideas
The June 2024 Paper Pumpkin kit comes with three different card bases. The peach and blue colored card bases have the same design printed on the front and back of the card base. This makes it so easy to cut up the card base and use it as designer paper for additional card making!
These first couple of card ideas feature some of the peach-colored card bases cut into different size pieces to use as patterned paper on the cards.

The layers for the first card feature a 1-3/4 x 5-1/4 inch piece of embossed white cardstock. The Distressed Tile 3D embossing folder is one of my favorites. The other two layers are 1 x 5-1/4 inches pieces cut from one of the peach-colored card bases from the kit.
The second card layout features a 3/4 x 5-1/4 inch piece of embossed white cardstock at the top. The next layer is a 2 x 5-1/4 inch piece cut from the peach-colored card base.
Each card showcases Shy Shamrock colored die cut leaves created with the Citrus Blooms Dies. Simply use the Shy Shamrock envelopes in the kit to die cut the leaves. Embellish with additional elements from the kit.
Angled Card Ideas
The next set of alternative paper pumpkin card ideas feature an angled design. Start by cutting one of the peach-colored card bases in half. You will end up with two pieces measuring 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 inches. Take one of the 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 inch pieces and cut it in half on a slight angle. This will give you two angled patterned paper pieces to create both of these cards.

You can use the angled pieces to create a portrait or a landscape style card. The best part about this design is that you can use it with any patterned papers you have on hand.
Sweet Friend Cards
The next set of paper pumpkin alternative designs feature the cherry die cut elements and the blue-colored card bases from the kit. Simply cut the blue-colored card bases in half (on the unfolded score line) and you are ready to use them in your card making.
The first card features one of the blue-colored card bases cut down to 2-3/4 x 4-1/4 inches. Add a 3-1/2 inch long scrap piece of Poppy Parade cardstock to the left side of the blue paper before adhering to the card front. Add a 2-1/2 inch circle shape and create your focal point with the kit elements.

The second card idea features a 4 x 5-1/4 inch piece of one of the blue-colored card bases from the kit. Use the same size circle shape as the first card and then embellish with elements from the kit.

The last card idea features the pink-colored card base from the kit. I actually didn’t cut apart this card base, I simply decorated it differently. Start with a 4 x 2-1/2 inch piece of embossed white cardstock. Add a 3-1/2 x 3 inch piece of Pool Party cardstock behind the embossed cardstock. Embellish the card with the cherries and other items from the kit. The “thanks” comes from the Thanks & Beyond die set which was an add-on to this month’s kit.
Thank You Cards
The last two card ideas feature a fun way to use the remaining lemons and peaches from the kit. The first card features a frame created from the Shy Shamrock kit envelope and the Citrus Blooms Dies. This die set coordinates perfectly with this kit! Simply add the frame to a piece of embossed white cardstock and then embellish with elements from the kit.

The second card idea features a 2-3/4 x 4-1/4 inch piece of the blue-colored card base in the background. use elements from the kit to create the focal and add any greeting.
