Today I have a variety of different alternate card designs to share which feature the March 2024 Paper Pumpkin kit called Memorable Meadows. The kit includes all the supplies to complete 9 cards; 3 of each of the 3 different designs. However, we will focus to how to cut apart some of the supplies in the kit to create 30 or more cards! I will also share 4 different card ideas featuring the extra stamp set in this month’s kit.
Paper Pumpkin Kit
The March 2024 Paper Pumpkin kit features 3 different card designs. The kit comes with enough supplies to create 9 cards; 3 of each of the 3 different designs. However, I cut apart all 9 of the card bases in the kit and used the scenes on the front and back of each card base to create additional cards.
Cut one of the card bases from the kit to 3-3/4 x 5 inches to create the background for the first two cards. You can add Garden Green or Mossy Meadow cardstock behind the scene for the card base.
The kit contains 9 wood elements. You can easily color the wood elements with stampin’ blends and add them to the cards. When you cut up the two different style card bases from the kit, you can use the design on the front and back of the card base. This enables you to create a total of 12 different cards if you use these basic layouts.
Alternative Designs
The third card base in the March 2024 Paper Pumpkin kit features a beautiful daisy meadow scene. The scene is printed on the front and back of each of the card bases in the kit. The next 6 card designs give you some fun ways to cut up the 3 card bases to create 12 more cards; 2 of each of the 6 different designs!
Start by cutting the kit card bases in half on the score line. You will end up with two pieces of the daisy design which measure 5-1/2 x 4-1/4 inches. This angle design is simply a diagonal cut made across one of the 5-1/2 x 4-1/4 inch pieces of the daisy card bases. Be sure to watch the video to learn how to make the angle cut.
These next two card ideas feature one of the 5-1/2 x 4-1/4 inch pieces of the daisy card base cut in half on the 5-1/2 inch side. Basically, you end up with two pieces of the daisy design measuring 2-3/4 x 4-1/4 inches.
The last two card ideas feature a simple window card idea and a great way to use the decorative piece cut from the window. Start with one of the 5-1/2 x 4-1/4 inch pieces of the daisy card base. Use the Thoughtful Expressions Die to create a window in daisy paper. Adhere the daisy paper, with the window, to a piece of Pretty Peacock cardstock, add a greeting and decorate as desired. Use the left-over decorative shape as the focal point for the second card.
Daisy Stamp Set
The last four card ideas feature the extra stamp set we received as a gift in the March 2024 Paper Pumpkin kit. It’s a very simple two-step stamping process to create the daisies. Start by stamping the outline of the daisies using Early Espresso ink. Stamp the color for the flowers using the coordinating solid images. The colors are Daffodil Delight and Soft Sea Foam.
I stamped the daisies on a scrap piece of white cardstock and cut them out with a scissors to create the focal point for these first two cards. Add a little 1-inch-wide piece of patterned paper and greeting. Scrap patterned paper works perfect for these designs!
For the last two card ideas, the image is not cut out with a scissors. The layout for the first card features the daisy image stamped on a 3 x 4 inch piece of white cardstock. Additional layers include a 2 x 5 inch piece of patterned paper and a 3-1/4 x 4-1/4 inch piece of Early Espresso cardstock. The layout for the second card features the use of a decorative die to cut out the image. The patterned paper layer is 2 x 5-1/4 inches.
