Easter is right around the corner! As such, I have a variety of card ideas to share with you which feature the Easter Lilies Bundle from Stampin’ Up! However, keep in mind you can use these card layouts with any supplies you have on hand. Just get creative with it!
Easter Lilies
The first couple of card ideas feature a few a fun and simple ways to showcase the beautiful images from the Easter Lilies stamp set. Start with a 4-1/4 x 4 inch piece of white cardstock. Cut out a “window” in the center of the white cardstock using one of your favorite die shapes. For this card, I am using one of the Thoughtful Expressions dies. Emboss both white cardstock pieces using the Distressed Tile 3D embossing folder or any one of your favorite embossing folders.
The white embossed window (or negative space) left into the 4-1/4 x 4 inch piece of white cardstock is featured on the first card. The actual die cut shape is featured on the second card. It’s such a great way to use up scraps to create two cards! The Petal Pink Designer Series paper layers for the first card are 3/4 x 4-1/4 inches. The DSP layer on the second card is 4-1/4 x 1-1/2 inches. Add the beautiful flowers and a little greeting to complete the cards.
He is Risen
Easter is all about Jesus and His finished work on the cross! As such, the last two card ideas feature the cross along with the Easter Lilies. The wood grain image used to create the cross came from the Textured Timber stamp set (one of the new online exclusives). Start by cutting two pieces of Crumb Cake cardstock at 1/2 x 4-1/2 inches and 1/2 x 2-1/2 inches. Stamp one of the timber images over the Crumb Cake cardstock using Pecan Pie ink.
Stamp the flower and stem images on a scrap piece of white cardstock using black or Early Espresso ink. Color in part of the image with the dark shade of a Petal Pink stampin’ blend. Highlight the center of the flower with the light shade of Calypso Coral. Use the light shade of Old Olive to color the stem and leaves. Cut all the images out with the coordinating Easter Lilies dies.
Surround the cross with the beautiful Easter Lilies and the greeting. I also added a 4-1/4 x 1 inch piece of DSP to the bottom of the second card.
Diagonal Design
The last card idea features a great way to use up the leftover scraps from creating the Diagonal Joy Fold cards. If you missed this fun fold card idea, learn more HERE.
After creating the diagonal card base for the fun fold card, you will end up with a 5-1/2 inch long triangular scrap piece of cardstock leftover over. Simply add a piece of patterned paper to this leftover cardstock and adhere it to a standard size card base. Then decorate the card as desired.
Now you have a variety of different ways to use the Easter Lilies Bundle in your card making. Feel free to use any supplies you have on hand to create these cards.
Have a fun and creative day my friends! ~ Lynn
