Learn how to create an easy treat package which you can use for any occasion! Each treat holder features the use of one 6 x 6 inch piece of DSP. It’s a one sheet wonder for treats! The packages feature the Sending Cheer Bundle and a variety of designer series paper from Stampin’ Up! However, keep in mind you can use any supplies you have on hand to create these treat packages.
Creating the Treat Package
First let’s talk about how to create the treat package. Start with a 6 x 6 inch piece of patterned paper or cardstock. Fold the paper in half, diagonally, to create a triangular shape. Next, take the top paper and fold it back onto itself so the point of the triangle is flush with the bottom of the treat holder. Once you have created the top flap, you are ready to fold in the sides. Fold in the left side of the treat package so that it rests underneath the flap created in Step#3. Then, fold in the right side (Step#5). Secure the sides with a bit of liquid glue. Add a few stampin’ dimensionals to the top flap and secure it over the folded in sides.
That’s it! A total of 6 steps to create this fun little treat packaging idea! Now you can decorate the treat package with any supplies you have on hand!
Santa Treat Packages
The first two treat packages feature a Santa theme. One is created with a piece of Real Red cardstock and the other with a piece of patterned paper. The concept for creating the treat package is the same whether you use cardstock or patterned paper.
The first treat package features Santa’s belt. Simply create the treat pouch with a piece of Real Red cardstock. The belt features a 1/2-inch-wide piece of black cardstock. Create the buckle with a 3/4 x 3/4 inch piece of silver glimmer paper and a 1/2 x 1/2 inch piece of black cardstock. Super simple and so cute!
The second treat package features a piece of Shaded Spruce Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the Regals DSP pack. It’s decorated with the Santa Hat and other images from the Sending Cheer Bundle.
Sending Cheer
The decorations for the last two treat packages feature a variety of stamp images and die cut shapes from the Sending Cheer Bundle. My favorite is the li9ttle gingerbread man. I just think he’s so cute! For more fun ways to use the Sending Cheer Bundle, check out the card ideas HERE.
For the stocking treat package, I actually added a 2 x 2 inch square shape cut from a piece of Cherry Cobbler cardstock. The DSP for this particular package was a little busy with the different patterns. The cardstock square shape helps to break up the patterns a bit and highlights the stocking on the front of the package.

Nice reminder for a simple treat holder I’ve used it for years and always called it the Diaper fold.
I have used it as well, but I have never heard it called the diaper fold.
