Learn how to cut up one 6 x 6 inch piece of patterned paper to create 3 cards! This three card one sheet wonder template is super fun and can be used with any patterned papers you have on hand.
The cards feature the Autumn Leaves Bundle and the All About Autumn Designer Series Paper from Stampin’ Up! However, keep in mind you can use any supplies you have on hand with this one sheet wonder template.
One Sheet Wonder Template
First let’s talk about the One Sheet Wonder Template for creating the 3 cards. Upon first glance, this template for a 6 x 6 inch piece of DSP may look a little complicated. However, once you see the cutting process in action, you will realize how simple it is! So be sure to watch the video HERE.
The basic concept is to make 3 initial cuts into the 6 x 6 inch piece of DSP. First, cut off a 2 x 6 inch piece from the bottom of the 6 x 6 inch DSP. This will leave you with a 6 x 4 inch piece. Cut the 6 x 4 inch piece, in half, so you end up with two 3 x 4 inch pieces. Once you have these two pieces plus the 2 x 6 inch piece, the rest of the cutting template will fall into place. Three Card Designs
Now that you have cut apart the 6 x 6 inch piece of DSP, you are ready to make some cards! These first two card ideas feature the top two sections of the One Sheet Wonder template. The first card showcases the 4 pieces highlighted in yellow on the template. The second card features the purple highlighted pieces from the template. Basically, the two cards have an identical layout. The only difference between the two cards are the colors I chose.
The last card idea features the 2 x 6 inch piece cut from the bottom of the One Sheet Wonder template. Simply cut that piece down to 5 inches and then cut it in half. You will end up with two pieces of DSP measuring 1 x 5 inches. The center piece is simply a 1-1/2 x 5 inch piece of embossed vanilla cardstock.
Pumpkin Cards
This 3-card template works so well with the All About Autumn DSP that I just had to create another set of cards. The first set features the DSP with different leaves. This set of cards features a 6 x 6 inch sheet of the All About Autumn DSP with the pumpkins. These card layouts are identical to the first set, I simply used a different piece of patterned paper.
One of my favorite things about a one sheet wonder template is that you can use any DSP (patterned paper) that you have on hand. Change the colors and/or the patterned papers you are using to create a whole new look! You can add any greeting and embellishments too!
