Inked & Tiled Card Ideas

Let’s create with the Ink & Tiled Bundle today! This particular bundle comes with a stamp set and two different punches. There are so many fun ways you can use this bundle in your card making.

Inked & Tiled Punches

First let’s look at some fun ways to use the Inked & Tiled punches! There are two punches that come with this stamp set when you order it as a bundle. One of the punches creates a little “x” and the other creates a star type of pattern. And these two patterns interlock so you can create even more fun designs! The first card features the two punch shapes interlocking to create a quilt type look in the background of this card. Start by cutting out 4 pieces of patterned paper using each punch. Arrange the pieces on a 4 x 4 inch piece of white cardstock. Leave the center section open for the greeting which, of course, fits in the star shaped punch.

The second card idea features a fun way to use the “x” shaped punch to create a pretty background. Simply punch out a variety of different patterned papers and arrange them across the center of a 5-1/4 x 4 inch embossed piece of cardstock. I used one of the label dies from the Sentimental Park set to create the focal point with the greeting. Be sure to watch the video to see the creation of these two cards in action!

Simple Card Ideas

All of the Inked & Tiled card ideas I am featuring today and very simple card layouts. This next card showcases a little marker technique with the large floral image in the set. Simply add color directly to the stamp using Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight and Lost Lagoon stampin’ write markers. Color each of the different parts of the image and then stamp the image on a 2-1/2 x 4-1/2 inch piece of cardstock. Be sure to use stampin’ write markers and NOT stampin’ blends.

The second card idea showcases a great way to use the negative space from creating the “x” card above. I punched out 4 x’s from a piece of the lost lagoon colroed DSP. The x’s were cut from a 1-3/4 x 5-1/2 inch piece of DSP. Adhere that DSP down the center of 3 x 5-1/2 inch piece of DSP. Then punch out a few x’s from the leaf patterned DSP and adhere them in the negative spaces as shown.

Using Up Scraps

The last couple of card layouts feature a great way to use up scraps. I love to use my scraps right away (instead of storing them). The two outside panels for the top part of the card are 1-1/2 x 4 inches. The middle panel is 3/4 x 4 inches. The bottom piece of DSP is 3/4 x 3-3/4 inches. The bunch up ribbon was created by pulling on one of the end threads. Be sure to watch the video to see this technique in action.

The last card design features four pieces of DSP cut to 1-1/2 x 2 inches. The DSP is matted out on a 3-1/4 x 4-1/4 inch piece of Lost Lagoon cardstock. Once you have the basic layout, you can easily create any focal point you want. It’s a great layout for using up scraps.
