The exclusive stamp set from this kit features 7 images you can use to create the kit projects. However, you can also use them to create additional cards. Simply combine a few of your own supplies along with the kit supplies to enhance your card making experience with this kit.

Alternate Card Ideas

The card bases in the May 2023 Paper Pumpkin kit have such beautiful scenes. As such, I decided to really highlight this when creating the first couple of cards. Start by opening up one of the card bases. Take the largest square from the stylish shapes dies (or any other shape) and lay it on a part of the scene. Run it through the embossing machine to cut out that section of the card base.

You will be left with a 2-3/4 x 2-3/4 inch square shape and a little window in the front of the card base as pictured above. We will use those pieces to make two cards. Let’s start with the window card. Simply cut another square shape from a piece of Boho Blue cardstock and adhere it into the open of the window on that card base. You will actually be adhering the square shape to the inside of the card. Add a greeting and decorate as desired.

For the second card, start with a piece of Copper Clay cardstock for the base of the card. Take the 2-3/4 x 2-3/4 inch scene and adhere it to a 3 x 3 inch piece of Copper Clay cardstock. Cut a 4 x 5-1/4 inch piece of white cardstock and adhere the square shapes as shown. Stamp a greeting and embellish as desired.

Window Scene

The next set of card feature a little window scene created by cutting apart the card bases. Start by cutting down one of the card fronts to 3-1/2 x 5 inches. Next, cut one inch off of each side of the 3-1/2 x 5 inch piece. You will end up with three pieces measuring 1 x 5, 1-1/2 x 5 and 1 x 5 inches. Adhere the pieces across the card front in order. Leave a little space in between each piece.

You can adhere the pieces directly to a colored card base. You can also adhere the panels to a 4 x 5-1/4 inch piece of Mossy Meadow cardstock first and then adhere it to the card base.

Creating with Stickers

The last two alternative cards feature a fun way to use the stickers which came as a gift in the May 2023 Paper Pumpkin kit. You can easily transform the stickers into fun little focal points for your cards! Simply rub an embossing buddy across the sticky side to remove all the stickiness. Use the stickers with some of your own supplies to create some quick and simple cards!

    • Hi Barbara, I used the stylish shapes dies to create the squares on the cards. The rectangles are just panels I cut with my paper trimmer.

  1. Your designs are much more creative and prettier than the kit designs. The kit designs are rather heavy and dark, but your designs have eliminated that problem. Well done!
