Circle Pop Out Card Design

Learn how to create a circle pop out fun fold card. It’s fun and pretty easy to make! All you need is a circle die or circle punch to create the pop out section. The cards feature the Desert Details Bundle and the Delicate Desert Designer Series Paper from Stampin’ Up! However, keep in mind that you can use any supplies you have on hand with this card design.

Circle Pop Out Section

First let’s talk about how to create the base of the fun fold card. Start with a 4-1/4 x 11 inch piece of Cajun Craze cardstock. On the 11 inch side, score it at 2 and 6-1/2 inches. Slide the cardstock all the way to the end and cut off a 1/4 inch piece. Save that 1/4 x 4-1/4 inch piece as you can use it to decorate the front of the card.

Cut two pieces of patterned paper at 4 x 1-3/4 inches and adhere them to the front and back of the 2 inch flap. Find a circle die which is 2 or 2-1/4 inches in diameter. Lay it on the card base over the 2 inch score line. You want half of the circle on the patterned paper and the other half of the circle die resting on the card base. Run it through your embossing machine to create the circle opening in the card base. Cut another circle shape from a piece of white cardstock. Fold down the front flap of the card base and adhere half of this circle shape into the opening. I recommend watching the video to see the creation of the circle pop out section in action.

Delicate Desert

Once you have created the circle pop out card base, you are ready to decorate it! I decided to use a variety of products from the Delicate Desert Suite to decorate my cards. However, you can use any supplies you have on hand with this fun fold card design.

When you open up the top flap of this fun fold card, the circle shape passes right through the circle opening! It’s such a fun and simple card to make.
