Marigold Moments Card Ideas

Today I have 3 different ways you can use the Marigold Moments bundle and some of the NEW Radiating Stitches dies in your card making. These are very simple card layouts which can be used with just about any stamp set you have on hand.

Radiating Stitches Dies

First let’s talk about the NEW Radiating Stitches Dies. This is a layering die set which you can use in many different ways in your card making. Each of the rectangular shaped dies layer upon the next. So that means you can cut the different sizes and they will fit perfectly one on top of the other. However, for the card ideas I am sharing today, I decided to use the die shapes individually instead of creating multiple layers. You can find the Radiating Stitches dies in the Online Exclusive section of the Stampin’ Up! store HERE.

These first two cards showcase the use of one of the Radiating Stitches dies for the focal point of the card. I love the look of stitching around these die cut shapes. To create the card layout, start with a 1-1/2 x 5-1/2 inch piece of patterned paper adhered down the middle of the card front. Add a 3-3/4 x 3 inch piece of one of the Vellum Basics Specialty Designer Series Papers to the back of the die cut shape. Then create your focal point using the Marigold Moments stamp set or any other stamp set you have on hand. These card layouts are very versatile so don’t be afraid to use them with other supplies you have on hand. Of course, you can also use a variety of colors too.

Marigold Moments

The next set of cards feature another simple layout with the small Marigold Moments flower as the focal point. Start by cutting a piece of the specialty vellum at 3 x 4-1/2 inches and adhere it to the center of the card front. Cut a 4-1/4 x 2 inch piece of patterned paper and adhere it across the middle of the card. Add one of the stitched rectangular shapes and a marigold as the focal point. Embellish as desired.

The last two card ideas feature the use of the two large Radiating Stitches dies. I actually layered the dies together on a piece of white cardstock and ran it through my embossing machine. This creating the frame for these card ideas. However, it also created the die cut shape for the first two card ideas.

Once you have the frame created, add a 3 x 4-1/2 inch piece of vellum behind the frame and then adhere to the card front. Stamp the large marigold image and two of the small ones to create the bouquet. Decorate as desired.

  1. I love these cards too! How do you color the radiating stitches, though, without getting ink on the rest of the edge of the paper? I love embossing but don’t know how to color just the embossed image. Thank you Lynn!

    • Hi Diana, I didn’t color the radiating stitches, they are cut right into the cardstock by the dies.
