Let’s dive into Part 2 of my 14-Card One Sheet Wonder featuring the beautiful Favored Flowers Designer Series Paper (DSP). Last week I showed you how to cut out all the flowers from a 12 x 12 inch piece of this DSP to create 7 cards! Today we will focus on the remaining 7 cards you can create from this one piece of DSP!
Large Favored Flowers
First let’s talk about the cards you can create with the Petal Pink and Calypso Coral flowers from the Favored Flowers Designer Series Paper (DSP). For this One Sheet Wonder, I cut up an entire sheet of flowers, from the DSP, use the Fragrant Flowers Dies. There are enough flowers on one sheet of DSP that you can create 7 cards using the purple florals and 7 cards using the pink/calypso florals. You can find the cards featuring the purple flowers HERE.
The first three cards feature the large florals from the Favored Flowers DSP. Yes, there are the exact same number of Petal Pink/Calypso Coral Flowers in the DSP as there are purple flowers. This means you can really use any of the card layouts in either color. For example, the first card features the exact same design (layout) as one of the cards I created with the large purple flower. I simply changed the colors.
The next card idea features a 3-3/4 x 5 inch piece of the Petal Pink DSP and a 4 x 5-1/4 inch piece of Evening Evergreen cardstock. Adhere the two pieces together and then adhere to a Petal Pink card base. Add a 3/4 x 3-3/4 inch piece of calypso coral DSP to the top before adding the large floral. You can add the large floral directly to the pink DSP or add a 2-1/2 inch vellum circle behind the image.
The last card idea features the large floral on two different colors of DSP. Each piece of DSP is 2 x 5-1/2 inches. Notice how the pink DSP on the left accents the calypso part of the floral. While the calypso DSP on the right accents the pink flower. I just love the look of this card. Simple yet elegant.
Edge Flowers
The next set of cards showcase some fun ways to use the florals that are on the edge of the DSP. Those florals make some absolutely beautiful cards! You can use the Fragrant Flowers dies to cut out the florals from the side of the DSP. The first card features two of the flowers which were on the edge of the Favored Flowers DSP. They look absolutely stunning on the split card texture die cut cardstock.
The second card features a 1-1/2 x 5-1/2 inch piece of DSP adhered to a 1-3/4 x 5-1/2 inch piece of Evening Evergreen cardstock. Just a simple panel running right down the center of the Petal Pink card front. Add the cut off florals to each side of the card and then embellish as desired.
Small Flowers
The last couple of cards feature the small flowers from the Favored Flowers DSP. I really love the look of these little florals tucked behind the greeting on these cards. The first card idea features the exact same design (layout) as one of the cards I created with the two small purple flowers. I simply changed the colors to pink, green and calypso.
The second card features a 3 x 5-1/2 inch piece of DSP and a 3-1/2 x 5-1/2 inch piece of Evening Evergreen cardstock. Adhere these pieces together and then adhere them directly down the center of the card front. Since the DSP is quite dark, add a 1-3/4 x 3 inch piece of embossed white cardstock to the center of the card. It just helps break up the dark DSP. Embellish as desired.
