Fitting Florets Card Ideas for Many Occasions

Today I have a variety of different card ideas to share which feature products from the NEW Fitting Florets Collection from Stampin’ Up! The cards were inspired by the double flap fun fold card I shared with you last week. If you missed the fun fold card and tutorial, you can check it out HERE. This collection of products can be used to create Christmas cards as well as cards for any occasion. It’s quite a versatile set!

Christmas Card Ideas

Fitting Florets Collection includes two stamp sets, a die set, designer series paper and some beautiful gold adhesive backed swirls embellishments. The Framed Florets stamp set and Framed Florets Dies are perfect for creating cards for many different occasions. Add in the Framed & Festive stamp set and you can easily create beautiful Christmas cards like these.

The first card features a 1-1/2 x 5-1/2 inch piece of the Fitting Florets Designer Series Paper (DSP) in the center of the card front. Add two pieces, of a different pattern of DSP, measuring 1 x 5-1/2 inches on each side of the first piece. Add a 3/4 x 3-3/4 inch piece of Real Red cardstock to each side of the card. Then decorate as desired.

The layout for the second card features a 1-1/2 x 5-1/2 inch piece of DSP in the center of the card front. Cut a 3 x 4 inch piece of DSP and a 3-1/4 x 4-1/4 inch piece of Real Red cardstock. Adhere these two pieces together and then adhere to the card front. Add a 2-1/4 x 3 inch piece of vellum and then create a little focal point with some of the images from the Framed Florets stamp set.

The last Christmas card idea might look complicated but it’s super simple! It involves layering together a variety of die cut shapes and images from the Framed Florets stamp set. Cut a 1-1/2 x 4 inch piece of DSP and a 1-3/4 x 4-1/4 inch piece of Real Red cardstock. Adhere the pieces together and then adhere to the left side of the card front. Then create the focal point with all the die cut and stamped shapes!

All the cards feature some of the beautiful papers in the Fitting Florets Design Series Paper (DSP) pack. The berries on the DSP are actually white. I simply colored them in using the dark shaded of Poppy Parade. Yes, you can color your DSP with stampin’ blends! Super fun!

Framed Florets Card Ideas

The Fitting Florets Collection can also be used to create cards for many different occasions. The next set of cards take birthday and thank you cards to a whole new level. I love the elegance of the framed florets oval dies. These dies make it so easy to create simple yet beautiful cards.

One of my favorite things about the Fitting Florets Collection is the ability to mix and match the oval shapes. For these first two cards, I simply cut out the oval shapes using white cardstock and then created the same oval shapes using Polished Pink. This enabled me to mix and match the white and pink ovals on both cards. I recommend watching the video to see the layering capabilities of these ovals!

Another cool feature with the Fitting Florets, is that you can use the dies to cut out some of the floral shapes to use as embellishments. You can also fussy cut out other images to use on your cards. The first card showcases some of the florals I fussy cut from the DSP.

The last card idea just showcases a white-on-white card ideas with all the beautiful oval shapes. Add a little bit of silver embossed images and you have a fabulous wedding card idea!
