Fond of Autumn Card Ideas

Today I have 4 different card ideas to share which feature the Fond of Autumn Bundle. The cards were inspired by the z fold easel card I shared with you last week. If you missed the fun fold card and tutorial, you can check it out HERE. I’m super excited to share a few more autumn themed card ideas with you. Don’t have the bundle? No worries, these card layouts will work with many different stamp sets and supplies, just get creative with it!

Fond of Autumn Bundle

First let’s talk about the Fond of Autumn Bundle. The bundle comes with a stamp set and coordinating die set. One of my favorite things about the die set is the ability to cut out the large autumn themed stamp image (as shown below). You can cut out the entire image which enables you to use the large image, as is, on a card. However, you can also cut out the image into 4 separate pieces. This enables you to layer them together to decorate one or several cards. I absolutely love the versatility of the dies in this set!

As you know, I love to use layering on my cards. So, cutting apart the large image was right up my alley! I stamped the image using Early Espresso ink and then colored it in with Daffodil Delight, Cajun Craze, Crumb Cake, Mossy Meadow and Soft Suede stampin’ blends. I also stamped and colored a small floral image to use on the cards as well. Use the coordinating dies in the Autumn Bouquet Die set to cut all the images. No fussy cutting, yay!

Autumn Wishes

The first two cards feature the large spray of acorns and leaves which was cut from the large Fond of Autumn image above. I love that you can tuck and layer the different pieces together to create a focal point. The first card might look a little familiar as it’s the exact same focal point showcased on the Z-Fold Easel card. The only difference is that this time I simply created a regular card (not a fun fold card). Be sure to check out that Z-Fold Easel Card when you have a chance!

The second card idea features the same spray of acorn and leaves for the focal point (minus the flower). Start with a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock for the base of the cards. Cut a 1/4 x 5-1/2 inch piece of Early Espresso cardstock and adhere it to the left side of the card front. Next, cut a 1-1/2 x 5-1/2 inch piece of patterned paper and adhere it next to the Early Espresso cardstock. Cut a 2-3/4 x 3-3/4 inch piece of Very Vanilla cardstock and emboss it with the Leaf Fall 3D embossing folder. Add a 3 x 4 inch piece of Early Espresso cardstock to the vanilla cardstock. Super simple yet beautiful!

Thank You Cards

The last two cards ideas feature the use of the floral spray from the large Fond of Autumn stamp image. I love creating thank you cards. It’s such a great way to express gratitude. The first card is simply a layered focal point on an embossed card front. Stamp a greeting on a 1-3/4 x 3-1/8 inch piece of very vanilla cardstock. Cut a 2 x 3-3/8 inch piece of Early Espresso cardstock and a 2-1/4 x 3-5/8 inch piece of Crumb Cake cardstock. Layer the cardstock pieces and greeting together and add to the card front as shown. Then, simply embellish with some of the beautiful Fond of Autumn images.

To create the second card, start with a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock for the base of the card. Stamp the small floral image around the outer edges of the card base using Crumb Cake ink. Cut a 3-1/2 x 5 inch piece of vellum and adhere it to the card front. Add a 1-3/4 x 4-1/4 inch piece of patterned paper across the center of the card as shown. Cut a 2-3/4 x 4 inch piece of Early Espresso cardstock. Add a 1-3/4 x 3-1/8 inch rectangular piece of vanilla cardstock to the center of this piece. Stamp a greeting and embellish the card with a variety of florals.
