Awash in Beauty Card Ideas Using Up Scraps

Today I have a variety of card ideas to share featuring products from the Awash in Beauty Suite from Stampin’ Up! The inspiration for these cards came from the leftover triangle pieces when creating the Double Flap Triangle Fun Fold cards. If you missed those card ideas, you can check them out HERE. I also have a few additional card ideas to share featuring the beautiful products in this suite.

Awash in Beauty Triangle Shapes

First let’s talk about the leftover triangular pieces. When creating the Double Flap Triangle Fun Fold cards, you will end up with two leftover triangle pieces. So basically, you can create the fun fold and two additional cards! The triangular pieces are 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 inches. You do not have to create the fun fold card in order to create these cards. You can simply cut a 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 inch piece of cardstock in half diagonally.

Each triangular piece features a 4 x 5-1/4 inch piece of the Awash in Beauty Designer Series Paper which, of course, is cut in half diagonally. Adhere the DSP triangle shapes to the cardstock triangle shapes and then adhere to the card front. To create the focal point, cut a 2-1/4 x 2-1/4 inch square shape from a piece of white cardstock (or use the Stylish Shapes dies to create the squares). Adhere them to the card front in a diamond shape and decorate as desired.

Of course, you can always create any card in either portrait or landscape style. For these cards I simply used a 4 x 5-1/4 inch piece of the Awash in Beauty Designer Series Paper which I cut diagonally.

Diamond Shapes

After using up the triangle shapes, I spent a little time playing around with the diamond shaped lattice die from the True Beauty Bundle. The die is fabulous and so simple to use. Add an adhesive sheet to the back of a 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 inch piece of white cardstock. Place the die on the white cardstock and run it through your embossing machine. It will cut out the beautiful lattice and you will already have adhesive on the back of the die cut shape! Simply peel off the backing and add the lattice die cut shape to your card front and decorate as desired.

The second card features a fun way to use the leftover diamond shaped pieces from creating the lattice. Adhere a few of the diamond shapes to the right side of the card front to create the pattern as shown. Add a 2-3/4 x 5-1/2 inch piece of one of the Snowflake Vellum patterns to the card front and then decorate as desired.
