This week I have a variety of card ideas to share which feature the Ringed with Nature Bundle from Stampin’ Up! The bundle includes a stamp set, dies and a hybrid embossing folder. And I have 4 different ways you can use this bundle in your card making.
Ringed with Nature
Let’s start by talking about the Ringed with Nature products. As mentioned, the bundle comes with a stamp set, dies and a hybrid embossing folder. The hybrid embossing folder is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! It can cut and emboss at the same time! Wahoo!
The base of the tree slices feature the use of the hybrid embossing folder. This embossing folder makes it so easy to cut and emboss the tree slices using a piece of Soft Suede cardstock. The decorative pieces inside each tree slice showcase a bit of stamping and die cutting as on the first card. The second card features die cut tree slices from the Rings of Love Designer Series Paper. They make perfect little elements for decorating your cards. I recommend watching the video to see the creation of these elements in action!
Watercolor Background
Of course, I am having a blast with water coloring this month too! The next two cards feature some simple water coloring techniques to create a colorful background. My favorite technique is the watercolor wash. It’s a quick and simple way to add color to any background. The first card features a watercolor wash using Crushed Curry ink. it just really enhances the embellishments added to the card.
The second card features the use of the Sepia Watercolor technique. It’s just as easy as the watercolor wash and creates the different shades of brown in the background. After the watercolor paper dried, I embossed it with the Tree Ring Hybrid embossing folder. I just absolutely love the look! You can learn more about the Sepia Watercolor technique HERE.
