Today I have a variety of card ideas to share featuring the June 2022 Paper Pumpkin kit called Pick of the Crop. The kit contains all the materials you need to create 9 cards. The kit came with coordinating envelopes (and I actually didn’t take apart the envelopes this time). Between the extra supplies in the kit and the additional of a few of my own supplies, I was able to create a total of 24 cards from this kit.
Pick of the Crop Kit Cards
The June 2022 Paper Pumpkin kit contains all of the materials to create 9 cards; 3 of each of the 3 different designs. Plus, the kit contained 9 coordinating envelopes. The kit also includes a little tote bag that you can decorate with the stamps and materials in the kit.
Each Paper Pumpkin kit includes an exclusive stamp set, an ink spot and a variety of supplies to create the projects. The stamp set in the kit features 9 different images you can use to make the kit projects and for additional card making.
Cheerful Basket
As soon as I saw the materials in this kit, I knew they would work well with the Cheerful Basket Bundle from Stampin’ Up! The June 2022 Paper Pumpkin kit contains several strawberries and blueberries which are designed to embellish the cartons on one of the kit cards. I cut apart the strawberry and blueberry element from the kit so I could use one in each basket on these cards. They make super cute little cards!
The first card features a 2 x 4-1/2 inch piece of Garden Green DSP and a 2 x 1-3/4 inch piece of Calypso Coral DSP. Add a little 2 x 4 inch piece of vellum in between the patterned paper and the basket of fruit to mute out the background a bit. Super simple and adorable! The second card features a 3-3/4 x 5 inch piece of Night of Navy cardstock embossed with the Timeworn Type 3D embossing folder. Add a 2 x 4-1/4 inch piece of DSP across the front of the card. Add a circle shape for the greeting and then adhere the basket of fruit.
Simple Card Ideas
The next two card ideas feature the little flower spray element from the kit. There were several extras in the kit so I was able to create 4 additional cards with each floral spray. The first card idea features a 2 x 4 inch piece of patterned paper cut in half diagonally. Adhere one piece to the top and one to the bottom of the card. It creates a great space for your focal point. Speaking of the focal point, cut a 1-3/4 x 4 inch piece of vellum and adhere it to the center of the card. Add the floral spray, little greeting and embellish as desired. That’s it!
The second card has a similar design with the floral spray as the focal point. Just add a bit of texture to the background by embossing a 3-3/4 x 5 inch piece of white cardstock. Cut a 2 x 3-3/4 inch piece of patterned paper and adhere it across the white cardstock.
Angle Card Designs
The last couple of card ideas feature a few angle card designs. These particular card layouts are perfect for showcasing a large focal point such as the cheerful basket. The first angle card design is simply a 2 x 4 inch piece of patterned paper cut in half diagonally. Adhere one to the top and one to the bottom of the card and then decorate as desired.
The second angle card design feature two 2 x 2 inch pieces of patterned paper cut in half diagonally. The triangular papers are adhered to each of the 4 corners of the card front as shown. It’s a great way to frame out your focal point.
Paper Pumpkin
As you can see, there are a variety of different things you can create with the stamp set and materials in each Paper Pumpkin kit! However, you must subscribe to the program by the 10th of each month in order to receive that month’s kit. Once the deadline passes, the kits are no longer available. So I highly recommend becoming a subscriber so you don’t miss out on the fun! Learn more about the monthly Paper Pumpkin kit program HERE. Check out some of the past paper pumpkin kits HERE.
