It’s time for a sneak peek into one of the fabulous product suites coming out in the Stampin’ Up! 2022 July-December Mini catalog. The new Splendid Day suite features a stamp set, dies, designer paper, ribbon and trinkets. All the fixings for creating absolutely stunning projects. Just check out these 7 different card ideas!
Creativity Now
This past weekend I had the opportunity to attend a Stampin’ Up! event called Creativity Now. The event featured projects created with the Splendid Day suite. The inspiration for these first 4 card idea came from participating in the event. You know me…I had to modify the designs a bit. But I will highlight some of the techniques we used to create these cards.
The first card features the use of stampin’ blends to create a colorful background. Simply drag the marker back and forth across the white cardstock to create the colorful background. Super easy technique! The second card the use of a blending brush to add bit of white craft ink to the embossed brick in the background. It creates a whitewashed look on the brick.
The last two cards showcase a bit of stamping in the background. The little half circle shapes were created from one of the shapes in the Splendid Stems Die set. We cut out 4 half circle shapes from different DSP to create the first card. The second card showcases a way to use up the scraps from creating the half circles.
Monochromatic Splendid Day Cards
I was so inspired by the projects from the Creativity Now event that I just had to create a few additional cards of my own. I decided to stick with the Soft Sea Foam and Fresh Freesia colors in a monochromatic type of design. The design of the first card is similar to one we created during the event. It features a subtle background created with one of the stamp images. The focal point of the card is simply a variety of different die cut shapes using the Splendid Day suite products.
The last two card ideas might look familiar. The layouts are similar to the Potted Gernanium cards I shared previously. Yes, you can use your card layouts over and over again with different colors and supplies. Check out the geranium card designs HERE.
I hope you enjoyed this sneak peek and the card ideas featuring products from the new Splendid Day suite. If you are not currently working with a demonstrator, I would be happy to send you a complimentary copy of the new catalog. You can request one HERE.
Have a fun and creative day my friends! ~ Lynn
